This is really well-made. The retraction is strong, just make sure that you remove your clothespins before you retract it. I tied it around the posts of my patio cover, instead of using screws, and it works just fine. I didn’t realize that the little knob at the bottom is where you wind the cord to give it tension. I want to be able to wash my sheets and hang them out to dry, so I bought a second line and spaced it 3 feet from the first, hanging the sheet between the two. Works great. I wish I would have bought this a long time ago, instead of wasting money buying plastic cord that shreds after a year. The cord is some kind of vinyl, but when hung on hooks for support, and wound at the bottom for tension, it’s a great clothesline. I have no doubt that it will last many years.

Nice and long, good retraction, easy to install and simple to use. Works great with lightweight items like t-shirts or socks, but heavier items like towels or jeans make it sag a lot. I'm not surprised, it's not super heavy duty overall very pleased, would have given 4 1/2 stars if that was an option. Price was reasonable.

Little retractable clothesline works great and I love being able to dry my Sheets outdoors! Nothing smells better than outdoor dried sheets!!
