I love night fishing and these lights are easy to see once you hook it on your pole you don't have to take it off to throw your line out. It fits perfectly. When not in use the battery stays in the case until the next time so you won't lose the battery.

1. These do not come with instructions, which allows you to easily assemble them incorrectly and get frustrated. To assemble them correctly... insert the needle end of the battery into the colored top. PUSH the battery until it lights and you feel it click in place. Then screw the top into the body. The white plastic body's only function is to hold the unit onto a rod, more on that next. The colored or clear top's only function is to provide light once the battery in inserted correctly.2. The rod clip on this device is made for the very smallest of rods, probably a 3 foot or less kid rod. This does NOT fit on any of my MANY fresh water, trout or bass, and MANY saltwater rods. NONE. But I like the light so I'm getting creative and experimenting. A rubber band wrapped around the light's base at the rods tip, BEFORE you line the rod, seems to work so far.Edit add: This does not come with a battery charger. Buy the charger and BUY extra batteries, they are small and if dropped may not be found especially on a beach.They are expensive for what you get. $8.00 would be a more fair price. I will recommend them.

They would not fit on my big game catfishing rods very disappointed

These only work for very small fishing poles. If your catfishing or surf fishing do not buy these lights they will not fit .

We got these so we would be able to go night fishing during our camping trip. Worked great.

good fish indicator when night fishing at night. last long too. 8hrs then it starts to dim down. i like the green glow.
