First off the earpieces are better quality than most 2-Prong offerings. At an average price of $5 a unit you can afford to give them out to your crew without expecting them to be reused by multiple people.

If you wear a hat these are no good the side of your hat smashes it into the top of your ear and after a long day working it’s very uncomfortable. Cannot understand anything in the earpiece everything is muffled and garbled.

Typical ear buds hurt the ear and periodically fall out. These units hang comfortably from the top and back of the ear. The speaker system is not inside the ear so you can easily hear other communication as well. They do not act as an ear plug like so many other brands and styles do. Works great with hearing aids.

This product is very good and their Customer service is the best I encounter in the years I been buying from Amazon.For some reason my items were not completed for which I contacted Retevis Direct and they get me the missing parts and an extra piece for my personal use within 3 days. So far the best I have purchase and deal with. Thanks Angela.

(Updated to 4 stars from 3)Retevis read my review below and reached out to me directly to address my problems with the two headsets that had faulty microphones. They offered to make it right, and shipped me replacements immediately, without me even reaching out to them to say there was a problem! I am very happy with their customer service, and willingness to 'make it right'. Angela followed up with me every step of the way, until I had a chance to test the new headsets and was happy. Because of their amazing service, I decided to raise my review score. I am still keeping one star off due to the difference in sound quality from one headset earpiece to the next, but I am happy with the product overall, and am very happy with their customer service!I purchased these for use with my Retevis RT22 radios during an awards Gala. I tested each when they arrived, and all headsets worked good, with the exception of one mic being very hard to hear sound from. The person had to put it right up to their mouth for others to hear them. Fast forward to the Gala night, and all the headsets worked great with the exception of two where the person could hear through the headphones, but their microphones did not send out sound, so we couldn't hear them talking. Luckily, I had two spares, and was able to switch them out. When testing each one, I noticed the clarity of sound was different between headsets. Some headset speakers had super clear sound, and I had no issue hearing/understanding what the person was saying. Others were a bit harder to understand the person. The night of the gala, I must have chosen one that wasn't the better ones, and had a hard time understanding what people were saying. It was quite loud at the event, so it is entirely possible that because I had to kick up the volume and the extra volume on the headset, that it was simply over-modulating the signal. Or, the people talking may have had their mics too close to their mouths. But, it was definitely hard to understand. Others said they could hear just fine, so I am thinking it was definitely one of the poor speaker ones.One of the things I loved about these headsets were the ability to boost the volume with the included volume dial on the microphone housing. I also purchased the Retevis in-ear headsets before these, and I noticed that with the volume all the way up on the radio itself, that it was still a bit too low to hear in noisy situations. So, the included volume boost of these headsets is much needed. I only wish all headsets came with it!So, overall, I am just 'ok' with these headsets. I love having the extra volume control, and they definitely worked better/could hear better with them than the ones that we used to rent from a local rental house, so that was a big plus. However, the fact that two came with faulty microphones and some had better sound than others made me give them only three stars.

Being part of a security group, we have a fleet of Baofeng UV-5RA radios that came with the non- dicreet and uncomfortable stock mic and earpiece. We swapped our old earpieces out with these mic/earpiece sets and they work well. I was going to purchase these individually, but this bulk pack came out on top and cheaper too! Great quality and discreet for security purposes. Shipped faster than expected!
