I repair old cassette decks and portable tape players. Even if the belts and circuits are working, sometimes the sound is still bad due to buildup on the playback / recording head and pinch roller. This cassette tape cleaner has worked well for me many times in this situation. I do use more than the recommended amount of liquid on the cleaning tape - 7 or 8 drops instead of the recommended 5 - and I run it through at least twice - once on both sides. I have used this on at least 10 cassette decks so far, and I've only used 1/3 of one bottle of the liquid (comes with two bottles) - so this will last a long time. Good value!

I have a very old, small cassette player I haven't used in years, and didn't know it would work at all. So I placed an equally old cassette tape in it, pressed PLAy. The tape dragged, the play quality poor. So I used the Reshow - twice - and the tape played like new. So I feel this is a quality product.

I bought this because I thought it would’ve make my cassettes sound better but it did the opposite. It sounded horrible and made my cassette deck make these noises. Would NOT RECOMMEND. Stick to rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab.

Well packaged. Chemical was bottled in two spray bottles. Secured so that they did not leak. Cassette was well constructed and did a good job on cleaning my cassette player heads and drive system. Good value . I would recommend this item.

A must have for anyone still using cassette players. Cleans tape head and some other moving parts. Use as directed and/or when needed.

I had an old tape cleaner that broke. This replacement did exactly as expected and helped clean one side of my deck that wasn’t playing tapes well. I decided to run it through both sides of the deck. Now my system is playing tapes with clarity again.

This thing revived my cars cassette deck. The stereo was a factory item in 1999 and while in my ownership (3 years) the song quality always sucked. I popped this cleaner in and after a few passes the sound quality has greatly improved.

I bought a 40 year old cassette deck. I put a tape in and it dragged and sounded terrible. I figured this would happen. I ordered a new set of belts, oil, lubricant and while I was at it, this Reshow tape head cleaner.Well, the Reshow cleaner arrived first so I put it in my deck, ran it through and put it back in the box.I grabbed the the original tape I had first attempted to play and inserted it. Guess what? It now plays loud and clear! Never expected THAT to happen.Anyway, for a few dollars, it is well worth it.I will still put the new belts on and all the rest but I now have new respect for these cassette cleaners.Super easy to use, few drops of the liquid on the white tape and run it to the end. Does not get any easier.

Used on an older cassette player hoping it would help the music cassette run smoother and better. It didn’t work, but then the unit was old. Old car, old unit. Glad we tried it. It probable works well and the price is good. Should you buy and try? It’s worth trying, all cassette players are not the same and it might be just what you need.
