  • Can be used in a die grinder at high speeds of in a hand drill at lower speeds

The Rescue Bit was originally created to remove broken screw extractors and easy outs. With no other tool on the market to remedy this problem, the inventor created this highly effective product to handle the job and so much more. The special composite metal combined with the unique cutting design enables the Rescue Bit to cut, drill and ream a wide assortment of even the toughest metals! Rescue Bits have both a drilling and flat cutting surface, so regardless of the size they perform the same. The Rescue Bit will not melt down like your average drill bits due to its special metallic composition and unique design. Because the Rescue Bit does not cut like a typical drill bit or saw, it leaves the work piece virtually free of rough edges or burrs. Its unique design turns even the hardest metal into dust. There’s no need to force the Rescue Bit it will do all the work for you leaving a clean and smooth surface. Even though the Rescue Bit is not invincible and can break, when used correctly it can be used to drill and cut through E Z Outs, screw extractors, taps, bolts, etc… When compared to the hacksaw the Rescue Bit cuts faster, cleaner and renders a lot less stress on the operator. The abilities of this tool are only limited to the imagination of the user and will enable them with the power and control that no other tool can provide. If you have a problem that needs to be rescued, make sure that you RESCUE IT…..WITH RESCUE BIT!

I can see it working. But it didn’t. Ended up having to extract the broken metal a different way.

The price sucks but it did exactly what I needed. It was able to tear through a broken extractor and the remaining bolt. I would buy again.

I was in serious need of rescue and fast! I had a wheel lug strip at the neck where it meets the wheel hub and the lug/lug nut just spun in place. This has happened to me before and luckily I already had good drill bits from the last time. Or so I thought… I broke not one but 2 titanium drill bits off in the lug, approximately 1/3” deep. I couldn’t work around the 2 spots due to the tight space within the lug nut so in desperation I searched the web for a possible answer and the rescue bit popped up several times. I received it in the mail and was anxious to see if it’ll help so I loaded the rescue bit in my corded high speed drill and went in. I was pleasantly surprised to see the fine metal powder collecting on the floor after just seconds of using it. After some time I felt perhaps the bit plateaued and wouldn’t cut anymore and thought perhaps it couldn’t get passed the broken titanium bits but then I remembered there’s a fresh cutting surface on the opposite side of the bit. After switching it I went back to it and the lug nut came off in minutes! Couldn’t be happier with tool because it really saved the day. Ok maybe just one request in the spirit of improving the design… if only the bit was a bit longer, perhaps just half inch, that would have helped even more. Other than that, money well spent for sure because it saved me money in the long run.

Broken bolt off on exhaust manifold on my Cummins engine but was rescued! Pulled manifold and drilled for an ease out when the bit went thru the broken bolt then broke! Tried drilling with other bits no luck. I ordered the Rescue bit and when it came in I called to get more instructions. He said run a high speed no lubricant and ream it out with little pressure It Worked! Ran 3 different taps to clean out the threads and assembled it back together. I called to let him know it worked and thanked him for his advise! Rescue bit did exactly what they advertise!

This bit is a beast. Used as directed to carve out an up side down broken mac- tools bolt extractor stuck inside broken off exhaust manifold bolt.Again. This is a beast. Just pulverized the hardened tool steel and remainder of the broken bolt when even my carbide burr bits where struggling.Highly recommend for real world applications.I did use it with a high speed die grinder and not a drill. So i have no experience using a drill.Works awesome and got me out of a huge jam.

Taking a cylinder bolt off a top cover for a Banshee motor and the bolt snapped. So I used my American made bolt extractor tool and that snapped. I thought I had to spend $400+ on a new case half but this cost $70 and to me, was worth the shot. I’m glad I tried it out. Dremel tool didn’t touch it. This ate through it in 5 minutes or less. Used it in my M12 fuel drill at high speed and cleaned the shavings out regularly. If you’re stuck and need to try something, give this a shot!

I tried using it as advertised and followed the instructions but I didn't get the result. My problem was that the bolt extractor I used broke in this shape |V| bottom being the outside (i drilled a whole on the wheel lug and the bolt extractor broke inside) I won't go into more details in the end of course the rescue bit tip broke, so then I cut it straight with a dremel disc. I used that as a reamer against the side of the lug and the pointy part of the lug extractor. Once I had a flat surface to work with the other end of the rescue bit, the tip wore out very quick (again I used it as instructed). When all had failed I used a dremel with the cone shape tips which I should have used since the beginning because it was a lot faster to get rid of the broken extractor and the overtight lug (done by courtesy of discount tire).PS: I would never use locks on my wheels again, these were BMW wheel locks they caused me more headaches than anything.
