I'm impressed by the quality of this reptile heating mat. It feels more durable than other options I have used, and I like that the adhesive sticker is seperate, so you don't have to use it if you don't need to.The temperature is also adjustable, which is an option many heating pads in this temperature range lack. Do note that it's just a dial that effects how much it heats up, however. It does not have an in-built thermostat. The heat this device supplies is spread evenly throughout the entire mat.Overall, I'm pleased with the quality of this heat mat. It's affordable, but still of good quality for the price range, and I feel it will do a good job of heating my pets' enclosures.

Pretty standard for a reptile heating mat. It works fine, adheres to the bottom of the tank with no problem. As a usual caveat, always be sure to use any kind of heating device for a reptile with a temp-regulating thermostat just for the sake of safety. This product's description is pretty clear that it does not come with one, which is totally fine, you get that with other brands too. All-in-all not too bad for the price.

It works fine. I would prefer if you could set it at an actual temperature and not just a dial and guess.

I'm using this in a DIY bread proofing box. The mat heats evenly and hits a max of about 120F. The temperature control is handy as it means you don't need a thermostat if you don't need a lot of accuracy in your application. In my case I have a cardboard box I'm using as a proofing box, with a cookie sheet on the bottom to better distribute the heat.

This heating mat works great. It heats up quickly and retains heat well. This should certainly be used in conjunction with a thermostat, but if for some reason the thermostat fails it does not get so hot that I would worry about my animal’s wellbeing; it seems to max out at about 130°F, which for most of our herps is still within their comfort zone. The adhesive works great, so I am not worried about this unexpectedly falling off of my enclosure. My only concern it the dial they have chosen to use for the cord. I have received several reptile heat fixtures (both lamps and heat pads) lately that have started using these generic dials and they are all very cheaply made. So far I have had 2 that have had the cords overheat and the dials melted. These are not made of quality materials and definitely pose a fire hazard. I don’t know if this one is made with the same cheap materials as those other two were, but it feels the same and I don’t want to take any chances. So, I am definitely keeping this on a metal shelf right out front where I can keep a close eye on it at all times.

As the winter weather and lower temps approach, we thought to augment the infrared bulbs for the ol lizard aquarium. Seeing as it sits near a window for some natural light, it also can get pretty cool in there when the temps are in the 20's.No problems! This pad took care of the issue and was easy to implement. We placed the normal sand/pebble/rock mixture used on the floor and just placed the mat under it with a piece of filter paper as a cover for the heating pad...the coed was concealed with a tree branch already in place as decor. Checked & set the temp using an noncontact thermometer and the deed is done! Mr. Beard (bearded dragon) discovered the area immediately and apparently enjoys having a much larger warm zone than before! This mat is a great value no matter how you use it, with or without the adhesive pad. My wife wants another one of these to use as a seeding/germination mat as well. What really matters is that Mr. Beard likes it and I had no issues setting and maintaining the approximate 85°~90° temp. Two thumbs up for a nice heating mat!

Ordered this to use under my son's hermit crab tank, to replace the inappropriate lighting that was sold to us with the set up. I use a similar heating pad under my leopard gecko's tank. This heating pad worked as expected, heating up quickly and maintaining the heat once it was done heating up. Great, affordable option for animal habitats requiring heating.

This was a bit bigger than I thought12x 8. It heats up pretty quick. It also has a dial to select the heat intensity you want. The ONLY drawback I think is.... make sure you are placing it where you want it. The adhesive is not arranged to the pad so you have to place it on the pad, then place the pad where you want. IF you want to move it.. ..good luck the adhesive might rip and tear off. So be sure you want it there.
