The reptile carpet arrived folded up instead of rolled. The picture shows it rolled. The folded area in the middle is at least 1 inch high when you lay it in the aquarium. Even the weight of dirt on top doesn’t help and it’s making it very difficult for my little box turtles to crawl around. It looks like I might have to pull it out and not use it at all.

I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT IT. EASY TO CLEAN THE HABITATE. ITS NOT SMELLY. ITS NEAT LOOKING!! I HAVE THE MAT DOWN ON THE BOTTOM, ON ONE SIDE IS SUBSTRATE, SMALL BARK, FINE COCONUT FINER MIX, & SOME DRY REPTILE MOSS THAT I SPRAY TO KEEP THE HUMIDITY UP!! LEO THE RUSSAN TORTOISE SEEM TO LOVE IT, TO DIG IN!! ON THE OTHER-SIDE IS HIS SLATE & ROCKS TO BASK UNDER THE HEAT LAMP.. WHICH ALSO CAME FROM AMAZON. REPTILE SECTION!! I’VE BEEN MORE THAN SATISFIED! MORE IMPORTANT IS MY TORTOISE AKA (LEO) LOVES HIS FULLY DECORATED HABITAT, IN OUTDOORSTYLE!! I BOUGHT THE EASY TO PUT ON MURALS, SOLD AT THIS REPTILE SITE. Very INEXPENSIVE JUST PUT ON THE OUTSIDE OFGLASS HABITAT.. MINE IS A FOREST! POOR LEO HEADS FOR THE FOREST DAILY!! 🐢🐢

I got this for my Russian tortoises outdoor enclosure area, as I like to keep loose coconut fiber/dirt for his frequently used enclosure inside so he can dig. This works perfectly when I have him outside, easy to clean and move where I need it to be, perfect for what I needed it for.

I prefer these pads as they are cleaner and not as messy as the soils. Using soils causes a lot of dust particles and these mats/pads provide traction without the clumping messes. They can be cut with strong scissors to fit your terrarium to your needs and you can put cabinet liners underneath so when cleaning you can clean top and bottom without the glass getting dirty. Cutting small angled slits allows you to poke through plant bases to provide plant shade. I recommend this product if you are tired of the dust from using soils.

I use these in the bottom of the tank for my bearded dragon. He likes them and they are inexpensive enough to replace when he poops.

The mats are perfectly sized and my Russian tortoise loves them. I was so happy to realize I could clean them repeatedly with my hose and they have not fallen apart! Given the multiple uses of each mat, these are a great value for the money.

I wanted to like this because we have a huge Egyptian Uromastyx that we had to take off of sand but the smell of her poop can clear a room!!! This doesn’t really absorb the liquid part so when I try to clean up poop I have to try to soak up the liquid that comes out as well but some of the poop also gets stuck in there leaving a very stinky substrate!!!

Looks nice but this is rough. My bearded dragon hates walking on it and I had to pull a piece out of her foot.
