I bought this as a gift for a relative and he loved it. At first I wanted to get the 16" one, but I thought that perhaps it would be too big (and it was indeed), so I got this one instead. It has so much detail, tons of names and apparently it's pretty accurate. He spent like 2 hours looking at it since the moment he took it out of the box. Which reminds me that it also came well packaged and secured, with no damage at all. The base is solid and sturdy, great quality overall.

I wanted a currently accurate globe for the purpose of contextualizing world events; and planning travel. The globes I found in shops were tacky looking; so I began looking online. It was important to me that it look nice atop my mahagany file cabinet. I didn't want a light inside it, or any other gimmicks; just a beautiful miniature model of the world, with today's geopolitical boundaries. I'm quite sure I chose the right globe; am very happy.It arrived on time, securely packaged in cardboard; no nasty packing popcorn or bubble wrap.

We homeschool & use our globe on a weekly basis. Love that this one is beautiful & just blends in with our decor so we can keep it prominently displayed which allows my kids easy access to it. They’ve even already knocked off the shelf & it’s no worse for the wear. Very sturdy to hold up to little hands!

This is a very durable lightweight product and perfect for our classroom. We take it outside weekly and it gets moved around quite a lot for our homeschool needs. Its modern design looks cool in any decorative setting & the size is perfect too. I love that they added the bright red line for the equator as we’ve been talking about it in our lessons & it’s easy for him to understand where it is and see it clearly. All in all great design, durable & aesthetically pleasing!

Globe arrived quickly and undamaged. Unfortunately the surface texture doesn’t align with the map inagery. For my purposes this isn’t the end of the world but it is annoying. How this made it through a quality control glance (and passed) I cannot imagine. I wasn’t even looking for this and noticed it immediately. Initially i thought the paper had wrinkled but no, every mountain range on the map has its underlying relief sitting 5 degree to the east.

If you’re looking for an accurate globe that looks good in any room, you can’t go wrong with this one. There are cheaper globes, but they are invariably made in China and their borders represent official Chinese government positions (for instance, showing Chinas side of border disputes). Make sure you get a U.S.-made globe like this for the best accuracy.
