The handle is solid and screws together easily. I put some gorilla glue in the PVC sheath as this handle will not need to unscrew for storage. I wanted a dura fork handle for “apple picking” in the barn since a cribber chewed through my original when I left it in the pasture. I literally searched for hours to get a replacement handle MADE FOR A DURA PITCH, 13” tine fork. There are NONE ON THE INTERNET!!! Plenty of heads but zero handles. Not sure what that is the case. However, if you cut approx. 3/4 inch off the tapered end, and drill the hole for the bolt, this handle will work for a Dura Fork head. It is a bit longer than the one that came with the fork, but a decent handle nonetheless.
