Swapped it out with no problem on my 2008 F150. Guy on youtube showed how to release the old one using a mirror and a pick to push the tab underneath the resevoir, but knowing what I was looking for, the resrvoir had a convenient indentation to reach my fingers in and pop it out. The wire clip had a small tab on the bottom to push to release it. The new one went in with a click from the wire connectors and a 2nd click when you slide the new sensor under the brake resrvoir. See you again in 15 years when this one needs replacing.

Honest review of Replacement Value Brake Fluid Level Sensor Compatible with Ford @ $34.65 at time of order and as pictured in the ad.I ordered this for a 2002 Ford Taurus SEL that had a constant brake system warning light illuminated on the instrument cluster. More than one mechanic believed it to be a sensor since the fluid level was good and it even had some brake work done while this was already illuminated. The brakes functioned fine; the light is just annoying. This particular sensor goes into the brake system’s master cylinder. It is made to the same dimensions as the OEM part.Likes: Supposedly fits and installs just like the original equipment manufacturer’s part (It did and was easy to install without removing the entire brake fluid cylinder). Amazon Prime shipping, returns, and refunds, but ships from the seller (that’s a negative to me). It apparently works okay, but it did not make the brake light go away. I learned that was a different problem and was not any fault of this sensor.Dislikes: This is not Amazon fulfilled, which delayed arrival of this product. This was priced over $10 higher than another source that also offered free shipping, but theirs was out of stock and I wanted to try this as a solution as quickly as possible.Mehs: None so far.5 STARS
