About this item

  • Function: The car brake oil test pen is a handheld car testing device that detects the water content in the brake oil to determine whether the brake oil needs to be replaced. Ensure the health of its brake fluid to avoid traffic accidents and ensure safe driving.
  • Instructions for Use: Unscrew the lid of the brake oil storage tank, detach the cap of the test pen, and immerse the test probe into the brake oil in the storage tank. Press the power button and the green LED light will light up. Hold for 1 second, the test result will be displayed by the lighting of the LED light, and the water content of the brake fluid can be quickly and qualitatively determined. After the test is completed, the test pen will automatically turn off after 12 seconds.
  • LED Light Display: There are 3 LED lights on the brake fluid quick detection pen, which are green, yellow and red. Green: The battery is OK/no water. Green/Yellow: Moisture content is less than 1%. Green/Yellow/Yellow: Moisture content close to 2%. Green/Yellow/Yellow/Red: The water content is close to 3%, it is recommended to replace the brake fluid. Green/Yellow/Yellow/Red/Red: The water content is higher than 4%, which is dangerous and the brake fluid must be replaced immediately.
  • Packing List: You will receive 1 x FT123 brake fluid test pen (AAA cable not included), including protective cover. If the green LED light does not light up after pressing the power button for a long time, the battery needs to be replaced. The product is lightweight and easy to carry and use.
  • Application: This brake fluid test pen can test DOT3/4/5 brake fluid. Widely used in personal workshops and repair shops. Please wash the test probe with clean water after each use of the test pen to avoid affecting the accuracy of the next test.

Got this as I work at a mechanics shop. There’s times when you wonder if what your mechanic is telling you is true or not. This little tool definitely works and helps to show the customer that their brake fluid is worn out and needs to be changed. You can easily show your customers that their brake fluid is bad or if your the customer you know when it’s time to change your brake fluid.
