I purchased this as a replacement for my Littman Cardiology III. It works, but the sound quality is more than marginally lower. If you're strapped for cash, then this will do the job, but it certainly is not the same level of quality.

In the past, I would box up my stethoscope & mail it to 3M for "rebuild", but this time when earpiece tubes cracked they no longer work on older stethoscopes. I bought this kit and fairly easily removed old tubing and jammed the new tubing back on the head. Then, I realized it was about 8 inches longer than I was used to, took it off and cut tube shorter (had to use hemostat to grab the "septum" on the inside of the tube and yank it out to fit the tube on the head, which wasn't difficult).The spring pushing the earpieces into my ears is a little softer than before, but not a significant problem.Overall, it's great to have my old friend stethoscope back in service. I started in medicine with this scope & recon I will use it till I quit, in spite of the other scopes, including an electronic scope, hanging outside my exam rooms!

The T71 works great for LITTMANN CARDIOLOGY MASTER! Tubing is alittle more rubbery and ear buds different than OEM but no difference in sound quality. Also comes with extra ear buds, diaphrams and rim peices that I have not tried yet. For $25 I would definately buy again any time!

Im an ER doc. Impressed with the price. About 25 bucks when i got it. Much cheaper than Littman products but works just as well. Also came with spare ear buds and replacement covers for the diaphragm.

Works pretty well on my cardiology 3. No issues. Should hold up well. I cannot tell any difference between the higher end tubing and this as far as auscultation quality is concerned. Would buy again and I do recommend it. Comes with lots of replacement pieces such as new diaphragm, name tag holder, and custom ear pieces.

Feels just like the Littmann's original tubing but a fraction of the price. Fits really well too. I've also gotten a few compliments on grey/teal ear tips, which was an added bonus.

Lasted about 6 months then the tubing snapped. Is pretty cheap and flimsy compared to the OEM tubing. Sound transmission is also not as good. Would not recommend. Bought the OEM tubing this time. That lasts about 5 years.
