Our 4k fire stick remote was starting to become iffy with working plus our son likes to play with the backs of remotes so it wouldn't stay on anymore. Was glad to find this replacement. The setup was super simple with just Bluetooth pairing. All the buttons are working great. If I didn't know I would have thought it was a straight OEM replacement.

I just got it, but as soon I put the batteries in it connected to my insignia TV and to connect the voice command was super easy!

This replacement remote is nearly identical to the original Fire TV remote. It is priced well and is worth considering if the original remote got lost or broken. If using with a Fire TV Stick, replacing the remote with an OEM remote might cost almost as much as buying an entirely new TV Stick, so having a cost effective alternative is great.I was impressed with how this remote looks and feels just like the original. Even the buttons feel exactly the same. The only difference is that the bottom buttons show Disney+ and Hulu, instead of Apps and Amazon Music (on the Canadian version), and the top blue button shows a microphone instead of an Alexa circle logo. The functionality of the remote is identical, but the inclusion of Hulu is aimed for the American market, which is inconsequential.Overall I'm very impressed with this 3rd-party replacement remote that looks and feels exactly the same as the original.

I ordered this to replace my fire TV 4k max remote that just randomly stopped working. Why? I dunno. I suspect it was tired. I really need to get up off the chair and stop watching TV. Anyway, since a brand-new firestick WITH a remote isn’t very expensive, I was searching for something reasonably priced that would get the job done. I think this baby will suffice.Pairing was simple. If you don’t know how (the instructions that come with will not help you mainly because, well, there aren’t any) just search it online. There are plenty of tutorials. I had the new remote paired and working within 5 minutes. A side note, you will need an already working paired remote to do it. I used the firestick ap on my phone. It’s kind of like a handoff. All the buttons are the same as my original remote except this one seems to have two extra buttons and a channel up and down rocker switch. That one is a bonus; the two extra buttons are marginally helpful. What they actually do will depend on your setup. The buttons are little on the “clicky/noisy” side. So was the original remote. This remote is a little bit longer than the original (see my side-by-side comparison) and the positioning of the buttons is slightly different. If you’re looking for an exact duplicate of your original remote, I’m afraid this, isn’t it. If you’re looking for a decent, reasonably priced stand it, this will get the job done. I do recommend this product.

I bought an amazon firestick this week for my Toshiba TV (not a smart TV) so I could subscribe to YouTube TV.The remote that came with the firestick did not have a channel up/down button. The only way to switch channels while watching YouTube Live TV is to go back to the live guide, arrow down to the channel you want, then hit enter. That seemed pretty stupid and cumbersome. So I bought this new remote today because it has the channel up/down buttons. Took just a minute to pair it with the TV using the option to add an additional remote. Works perfectly! I don't understand why they don't send this remote with the firestick instead of the sparse one.Something a little weird is now when I turn the TV on it takes me directly to the last YouTube Live TV channel I was on. I would have expected it to take me to the screen to launch YouTube, then the screen to select which user is watching, but it skipped all that, which is OK by me.I would expect that may change if I add a 2nd user, but we will see. Very happy thus far.Edit 12/16/2024: Ok, the weird thing going directly to YouTube stopped the next day. It must have thought I was still logged in. Now it is working more as expected. I have to select the YouTube app then select then user. Still happy as a clam here..
