After months of hearing a plane in my living room I changed the heatsink compound and the noise went away on my PS4. After a while the PS4 started to have overheating issues. It would not stay on for more than 5 minutes until it would display error and shut down. After I would not turn back on until it cooled off. After opening the case I noticed the fan would not spin even when the PS4 was cool. I got this and replaced the fan, and it revived my console. The noise is the same as the original fan. Note that to change this fan you'll need to reapply heatsink compound to the PS4 processor.

I have the 1200 series PS4 this was a direct fit and plugged right in to the board. The mounting holes are not perfect but it fits, just had to force it on to the line-up pins a little. It is louder than the original like it's moving more air, hope that's a good thing. I put new thermal paste on the processor and cleaned all the dust out while I have it apart. It running cooler than I can ever remember.

I purchased this replacement fan for my son's Ps4 after watching a little YouTube to help diagnose the problem. He did in fact have a faulty cooling fan. We checked out plenty of fans and decided on this one because of the price and prime delivery. After more YouTube I tackled the job, installing it wasn't overly complicated just take your time. After putting it all together again the Ps4 is back and running again.
