I recently inherited a shark vacuum. I am trying to clean it out and replace parts. This hose fits perfectly and works just as well as the original. The color of the handle is a little different, but that doesn’t matter. It snaps right on and stays attached. I would recommend this attachment replacement.

My Shark Rotator Lift-Away lost its bite when the hose split at both ends. Gorilla tape was a temporary fix, until my hands stuck to the hose more than the tape did. I finally broke down and bought another Shark and it works great, but I couldn’t bear to part with the old one. I’m like that with old things I’m fond of.Then the remedy for my old Shark’s problems appeared on the scene. A new hose. I checked the model number for compatibility, UV440. Good to Go.The new hose handle is blue with a plastic insert at the top. The old handle is silver with a rubber insert. The old Shark is indifferent to the blue rather than the silver color and my accommodating a slightly different feel on the handle is not an issue.After removing the old hose and washing the sticky stuff off my hands, the new one installed easily . . . until I hit a snag. The connector at the bottom didn’t stay attached. Now, I was determined to make this happen. I made sure the connector was as far down as it could go, then put my index fingers behind the tabs that locked the hose in place, and gently pressed outward. A couple of presses later and pulling on the hose, which now did not come loose, and I was satisfied.After I checked for vacuum leaks at the connectors and found none, I took the Shark for a test spin around my office. All worked well. Next stop was a new set of filters for the old Shark. Of course, I checked Amazon and found a nice set of filters at a reasonable price. With the new hose and filters, the Shark Rotator Lift-Away got its bite back.If your compatible Shark suffers the same problem, consider this item. Other than the slight issue with the connector, I think this hose is a fast fix to an old Shark’s problems.

It’s an excellent replacement hose. It looks exactly like the original hose on my vacuum and it fits perfectly. It was easy to install too. It's a different color than my my vacuum but still looks good.

Yay!!! Finally found a replacement hose for my shark vacuum!! This replacement hose is great quality, durable, and I love the blue color as my old one was just gray. We love our shark vacuum so much and didn't want to throw it out when the hose split in two places. We've been taping it with electrical tape for about a year now and it only holds for a couple weeks of use. We were looking and looking for a hose replacement for this model and finally found this one! We are so extremely pleased with it as not only does it look nice and it is durable, but it also made the suction in our vacuum better than it has been in years! Very very pleased with this purchase. It looks like it works with several different models, but the model that we have that it was compatible with is the Shark Navigator XL model# UV550.

I got this to replace the one on a Shark vacuum model NV357WM1. It fits perfectly! Besides the color difference, mine was grey, it fits and operates just like new! It seems to be just as good of a built as the original one so I hope it is as durable! I did not find a grey model so I chose to get this vs buying a whole new vacuum. Got my vacuum working like it should!

Like many of the reviews say, it doesn't snap into place. Mine was difficult to get to snap into place but it did work after a bit of effort. The rug release was very hard to turn so i could shut it, actually ended up splitting my fingernail when trying to do so. I had to get some gloves on to make it turn. It seems to be built well tho and will work better than the same piece with a broken hose. I guess its buyer beware as I'm not sure this is any lesser of an item than the manufacturer would supply as a universal fit type item.

It would not stay connected to the vacuum cleaner. The design does not have a way to lock the hose in place
