Very Slightly smaller in diameter than the OEM filter for Shop Vac, however it still fits and works. Just received it so cannot provide data on use other than it fits and works. Due to MUCH cheaper cost than the OEM, if it continues to function it is a much better option.

This filter has great fit and finish. The material is coated fabric pleats with an innter mesh. This should make cleaning easier. I've bought more expensive filters that have these features and any dirt simply rinsed off. They're awesome, can't wait to try these out. Fit my vacmaster vacuum perfectly. Don't get rid of the bottom retaining cover, you'll need it when you replace the old filter (if you have a vacmaster wet/dry vac).I'll update with performance results but first use was very positive. Suction power was amazing.

I bought this to replace the filter on my Shop Vac 6hp 12 gallon model. This filter fits much tighter and does not have the plastic locking piece. So don't throw the original one away. Also, be careful pushing this new filter on, it will collapse with the right amount of force and any bends in the pleats will affect suction.Once on, this brought new life to my old, suction loosing vacuum.

Excellent filter which surprisingly fits my antique Shop-Vac. In fact they may be a little too effective as they need shaking off quite regularly to maintain suction. Having said that, I far prefer an excessively effective filter to one that exhaust the dust right back out again.I find that after every few uses, a quick trip out the back door to wave this thing around and a quick vacuuming off, (with another vacuum of course!) keeps things going well.
