I have a pump house and bought this so I can monitor the inside temperature compared to the outside temperature. Works great for my purposes.

I need it for HVAC measure of hot & cold air. It was accurate and was tested against my digital thermometer plus or minus 1 degree F. I also tested it in ice water as pictured and it was spot on.It is glass and the seller also related the following "This is glass but you won't be able to calibrate it yourself, it does, however, come already calibrated in the shop". I removed one star because the end user can not calibrate it if it should somehow come out of calibration. I can also confirm that it is waterproof and made of stainless steel. I choose this particular analog thermometer because of the size and readability of the dial. The plastic pocket holder is not the best. It should be thicker, it can not hold the thermometer centered along the stem like others that have a hole in the center of the plastic holder. Seller was very responsive.

Dial is easy to read. Approximate is good enough for me, so I do not bother with measuring the accuracy of the calibration. Readings are within expectations.

Purchased this to stick in the AC vent so I can tell how cold the air is coming out. This thing has been stuck in that vent since it arrived and is easy enough to read without getting out a ladder. Works perfect for what I bought it for.

I got this thermometer to check the temperature of the air coming out of the vents on my truck after charging my AC system. I like the large size face because it’s easier to read. Temperature got down to 40 degrees according to the thermometer which was perfect. As long as I don’t drop it it should last for many years and it doesn’t require batteries. It now resides in the corner of my toolbox until next time I need it.

Works well. This has a somewhat larger dial than most, making it easy to see.

Large easy to read dial. I use these to monitor my before and after temps on my air handler ductwork so that I can fine tune the performance of my heat pump.

I purchased this thermometer specifically because of the larger (2") dial than the more common 1" dial. The degree markings on the small ones are more difficult to read accurately, making this larger one easier to use. I verified the temperature accuracy with my digital thermometer, the measurements agree within the limit of resolution of the thermometer. So far, I'm totally pleased with the performance of this item, recommend it to others seeking a good value in a spike, analog thermometer.
