- Quick shipping- Cameras/nvr package feel of great quality- NVR hooked up the router so easily, cameras plug directly in and had it hooked up to my phone in 30 mins.- Toughest part is running the Ethernet cables through the house to a center location.- Great picture quality, detection of animals from people is awesome. I only get an alert if a body walks onto the property - it won't send alerts for animals or environmental- Tons of customization.UPDATE:Water damage to 1 of 4 cameras after a week. I spoke to Reolink Support and they shipped me out the replacement camera right away. They even gave me a newer model. Thank you so much!

Deal alert!!! save almost 106$ on this amazing all in one security system from ReolinkThis is a great bundle that features 4x 4k cameras with, 1 hub with 2tb of internal storage space and no monthly fees.. This kit is the perfect solution for covering every corner of you're home insuring 24h security and peace of mind. Although not the most advanced kit Reolink offers it does cover most of the basses for a recommendation. Especially at this price point. The build:These cameras feel well built with higher end plastic molds. The clear acrylic dome that houses the camera lens is also well integrated in the design. It is vandal and weather proof featuring IK10 plastic polymer. Each camera features an IR light sensor and small LED modules that light up when motion is detected after sunset. The mounting plates come with all the necessary hardware. They also feel robust with a thicker gage plastic polymer and metallic backing. Each camera is equipped with movement software yet lack tracking capabilities ( no pan or tilt function ). The bay station is made out of higher en components reminiscent of older DVR such as metal and high grade plastics. There is an internal High speed 2TB Hard disc drive that provides you with 24/7h of local storage space. This drive is expandable to 12TB of disc space.Things to consider:1: Canadian weather: These cameras are rated at -17c +40c. So when we look at the harsh winters we experience up north. With winter temperature hovering around -20c on average. Then these units might not be suitable in these conditions. They will still function but my experience damage if subjugated to long periods of extreme cold such as -40c.Features:Power over ethernet.Homebase Local Storage 2TB upgradable to 12TBRecording, 4K QHD,145 wide angle with low distortionHuman Detection, car detection animal detectiondual chat feature ( listen and talk in real time )Colour Night VisionLED lights 3000k night modeIPX 66 ratingimage quality:These cameras offer a good 4k sensor that has an above average dynamic range. Allowing for greater highlight and low light detail retrieval. There are some anti glare coatings on the lenses. Helping to eliminate sun spots and flairs. But you will need to periodically clean your cameras lenses to insure optimal image quality. The IR sensor's range is 20 meters witch seams on par with other models I've tested. The LED modules provide around 300 lumens of brightness allowing for good visibility at night. But can only illuminate a 30 foot cone.Final thoughts: 4.9 OUT OF 5This all in one package really offers great features for it's asking price. A home hub with a comprehensive app with storage. To ease of installation and expandability. This might be the right solution for your home security needs. Especially if you're looking to capture a 360 degrees surveillance scenario. Reolink offers many new POE cameras that offer even greater features such as auto zoom and newer colour night video with no lag. To top it off there is no monthly cloud subscription fees. Witch will save you thousands in the long run.

Love these cameras. 180o view. Sharp pictures. At night, the motion sensor kicks on a bright light which I like. The web site is a bit funky. I’m having an issue with log in but, my husband is fine. Our installer didn’t tell me quick enough that I had to sign in as an administrator so, I put in my email. I need to call the company and have them reset my profile. A pain in the neck but, not the company’s fault.

Kind of a long story. I will try to stick to the high points.I was looking to upgrade to a better camera system. I had originally had some Blink wireless cameras that worked OK, but one of the downsides was always having to replace batteries. I did add solar panels that mitigated that need, but the wireless was OK, but not great. The cameras had motion detection, but frequently they would lag, and you would miss someone's face when they walked up to the house quickly.I did a fair amount of online research, and decided on a POE solution. This is my first install, and I was hoping it to be fairly easy. It was more challenging than I expected, as I will explain. This is no fault of this system, but rather my lack of understanding of what was required.I made this a more labor-intensive install as I didn't want to put an NVR in our office and have even more electronics (and the associated cables) pulled in there. I had a space in my garage and wanted to put in a wireless (mesh) connection to my network. I also installed a waterproof electrical box to put the NVR into. I had originally hoped to use an ethernet cable that had ends already installed. Unfortunately, to keep the outdoor ethernet connections weatherproof, you have to cut the cable and put the weatherproof jacket on, then the RJ45 connector. I did not know this at the time.I watched a bunch of videos on how to do this, and I ordered the necessary crimping tools. It is more difficult than it looks, at least for me. Getting the 8 wires in the right order through those tiny holes is challenging and frustrating. In the end, I found some things that made it work for me. It gets easier with the right tools and practice.1. Get the two part RJ45 connectors. It is easier to get the wires in the "sled connector" than to feed them all the way through the one piece connector. I found the one piece connectors almost impossible to get right.2. Get a super sharp side cutter. The 8 wires need to be cut evenly and precisely, and if you have a dull cutter, it won't work. The wires will bend and not go in.3. Get a pair of surgical hemostats. Yes, you are going to play surgeon. I used these as an extra set of hands to hold the wires flat, in the right order and, close together. I bought a pair on Amazon for around $10.When the connection works, it is a big sigh of relief. The more of them you do, the easier it gets.I also upgraded the hard disk to a 6TB Seagate Skyhawk (Video rated). This was a very easy install and I think worth doing. I also added a front doorbell camera.I am very happy with the system thus far. The video quality is great and I feel it is a better approach than wireless cameras. I think POE is the way to fly, but certainly more work to get it done, mostly due to the connectors on the ethernet. You can do it, but if you are in doubt, I would try your hand at doing the RJ45 connector's first before you invest in this, or any POE system. If you can do that, the rest is easy. Good luck on your project.

So first of all, a brief basic assessment:Assembly:Was actually self-explanatory. Went quite quickly.App:Registration was also a breeze and is not rocket science. Live images are displayed immediately. You have to get to grips with the special settings in the app, but everything is actually quite well described.Picture:Very nice picture quality on the High setting (set to Low at the start)But now to the small shortcomings:1. the NVR (base unit) must be connected directly to the land cable. Could possibly have been described better. We thought it would also work with a WLAN connection despite thorough research in advance.2. the cameras are too easy to move. When adjusting them, you have to be careful not to turn them out of the holder again as they don't lock into place. They are also so easy to turn that you have to be afraid that they will move in strong winds. On the one hand, I would like to see something in the holder that locks the camera into place, even if only slightly. The camera view should either be a little harder to turn or there should be some kind of locking mechanism so that the camera sits firmly.Otherwise, we have not noticed anything negative so far. Therefore, despite the small shortcomings, a good investment for us.

The system comes with 4 cameras that are easily mounted to flat surfaces with included hardware and mounting holes in the camera. The cameras are robust and made of high quality plastics and metal so should remain durable indoors or outside. The cameras are made to be used indoors or outdoors and are made to resist vandalism. They are lightweight but heavy enough and feel robust enough to deal with Canadian weather. The cameras are easy to mount and can be powered over ethernet instead of running multiple cables. This makes installation much easier especially if you already have cat cable or ethernet jacks already in your home or office. The cameras can be manually adjusted up to 57 degrees allowing for great coverage of any area and desired angles. The LED lights are warm colour temperature and provide a good amount of light to allow night time surveillance in colour or using the IR LEDs allowing further visibility in the background. The buit in daylight sensor determines what system to use and can be configured via the recording system. With 2TB of storage space running out of memory should not be an issue. The AI ffeature that recognizes humans and animals works well. You can be alerted by email or audible notification and can be configured via the recording unit. There is two way communication through the built in microphone and speaker in each camera. The accessory application is easy to use and helps quickly change settings and view cameras. There are 8 camera input connections on the recording unit and video monitoring output to HDMI or VGA.The video and image quality is very clear and sharp. The resolution is HD and taking video or still frames allows for identification of fine details like nearby liscene plate numbers. Colour, saturation and contrast are good and better then expected for a security camera. At 145 degrees the cameras cover a wide angle allowing you to see more with less units.Overall this is a great quality product that is easy to install, requires less cords then other setups and is simple to operate.

This security system by Reolink is complete for a good perimeter security system for a home or any other building. When unpacking, I could tell right away that the quality of everything is top notch. The cameras are all metal housing with great waterproof connections and a solid hard clear dome. The NVR is compact with multiple ports and options for connection to a computer screen or TV. It also includes a mouse for use with the NVR. This is the latest system with 12MP cameras. The hardest part of setting this up is running the wires from the NVR to the cameras. Once that is done, the initial setup was a breeze with an easy step by step process and easy to follow instructions. I cannot believe the quality of the picture compared to my other wireless solar cameras that are mostly 5MP. This system is easily expandable for up to 8 wired cameras and has a 2 TB Toshiba hard drive that is also easily upgradable should you ever want to. I was also able to integrate my current wireless Atlas and Argus model cameras into the system as well. The app integration allows using my phone as well as the wired NVR for viewing. This is a good user-friendly system compared to some others I have tried. It states that the cameras can have a micro-sd card, but I could not get the small door on the bottom off after taking out the screws, so I left them for now. You do need to be careful when aiming the cameras after taking the dome off, as they are connected by a ribbon and ensure the ribbon is tucked under the camera when putting the dome back on. The only misses that I see with this system is there is no ability to connect wirelessly, and the cameras have no remote tilt or pan function. Once installed, this is a great system.
