Not my first camera system. This one has been excellent. All cameras work great, night or day. To date not one has died. Can't say that for other systems I've had. Interface is decent and being able to watch our dogs on our phones while away is worth it alone!

I purchased the 00SSXX security camara system October 2022. I installed six of eight camaras at that time. My property has several outbuildings and about 2 acres of land to cover. I installed three of the camaras outside in the elements and three of the camaras inside the outbuildings. The picture quality of all the camaras is outstanding as is the night vision. I am able to identify people at a distance of 600 feet in daylight and at about 80 feet in the darkness. I live in Michigan where we have harsh, snowy, cold winters and the outdoor camaras worked flawlessly in subzero snowy, slushy conditions without any problems. The outbuildings are about 600 feet from the internet hub that is used. The package comes with two remote antennas that I used for the interior of the outbuildings to boost the signal. They both work extremely well with the external antenna magnetically placed on the outside of the buildings. Set up for the camaras at the base station was intuitive and relatively easy, almost plug and play except for setting preferences for the alerts to my phone / E mail. The only difficulty I had when I got started was getting the camara view on my phone to display in a timely manner. They sent out an update for the app, and that problem disappeared. I would highly recommend this system as an affordable, high quality easy to operate and set up alternative to a subscription system. I am planning on installing the final two camaras inside of the house but have not yet completed that task.Update July 2023 - We were on vacation and an alert came across the phone that intruders were looking in windows and checking doors for security. We called the sheriff's department to intercept, but the intruders had seen our camera set up and hastily left. I returned to the house to meet with the sheriff and was able to provide them with several still photos and six videos from this system that were able to identify the intruders. The sheriff's department posted the videos both on their internet website as well as provided them to the local news station. We are waiting to see what results are provided in the coming days. Needless to say, our neighbors all asked for our system information and will be making several purchases.

Here is my honest review. OOSSXX is one truly great camera system! I'm no camera expert. I have not used too many camera systems to give you expert reviews, but as a user, I have used and returned a few sd card-type cameras. Those sd cameras are no comparison to this one. The sd card cameras are not reliable and they're not cheap either. I have replaced a few 64Gb sd cards, those cards only last a few months especially when you put your camera outdoors that is exposed to heat and cold weather, they just don't last. A lot of times when you want to check your recorded videos, you found out the sd card had failed to record. I pulled my hair a few times enough to make me bald.Pros: Here is what OOSSXX amazed me. 1). Clear pictures. Because of the large size hard drive, the cameras are able to record high-def videos. (2880 x 1620) with no problem. I think the system default to record 24-7, but I prefer to record only on motion. Changing it was easy. I can change one camera and then apply the same setting to all cameras. 2). 10 channels, I don't need 16 cameras. I need exactly 10. Most of the camera system supports 8, 16, 32 channels, etc… and I just can't find a 16 channels system that sold with 8 or 10 cameras. This system supports 8 + 2, so it is perfect for my need. 3). AI Playback and human detection. This is my favorite feature. AI Playback crops and shows me only human body playback, so I don't need to keep searching thru every motion and eliminate birds, cats, and bugs and only look at humans passing thru the cameras. It makes searching so much easier. 4). Fast-loading application on both PC and Android / iPhone apps. The app loads so much quicker than the other brand I used before. There are more functions as well. I'm not sure why the 2 stars on the Apple store and 2.4 stars on google play… I'm crossing my finger I don't run into hassle later, but so far I like the app. 5). Metal cameras and metal aluminum junction boxes. Compared to the old flimsy plastic cameras I used, OOSSXX uses metal frames. I feel like they're durable. I'm not sure. I might update as time goes by. I like the junction box, I bought a plastic one and returned it immediately. I didn’t like it. OOSSXX material looks and feels durable. 6). Night vision is definitely brighter than what I get on my other sd card-type cameras.Cons: My only complaint so far is 1.) There's only one USB port, and when a USB mouse is occupied there's no room for a backup drive or a keyboard… maybe a USB hub will work. I haven't tried it yet. 2.) The "View" button (switching 1 to 4 to 9 screens view etc) on the remote, sometimes works and sometimes does not. I have to log in as admin and then come back out for the change view button to work again, it could be a programming bug… 3.) There's no power switch on the NVR, maybe not needed? I just unplug the power, just not sure if it's safe for the HD. However, I'm not sure why there's a power button on the remote as it does not do anything. My guess is this remote is universal for all models and the power button does not apply to my version.
