Terrible product very thin material came with a pin hole leak.I bought this to replace an identical one that I had used for years with no problems.The new material that this is construction of is not good

Let me start by saying that I shower every day with a water bag, have for years, and have tried a number of different models. Because I shower in the morning, the solar heating feature is lost on me; I pour hot water into the bag using a large funnel.I like the large filling hole on the Reliance product as it lends itself well to filling from a handpump or funnel. The previous model's single opening valve needed to be drilled out to get decent flow through it. They have fixed it with a dual opening valve.As on previous models there is an unacceptable amount of plastic flash along the seams of the fill hole. This makes screwing on the valve cap difficult and cross-threading easy. It also requires a lot of hand torque if you want to stop it from leaking.Perhaps the new silver colour does something for the solar heating function, but it also makes it more difficult to monitor the water level as you shower. Suddenly running out of water with a head full of shampoo isn't much fun. Yes, you can get an approximate idea from the shape of the bag as it collapses, but I prefer the see-through style.The new thicker handle is an improvement, as is the oversized hanging tab.The failure mode of these bags is always the same: the plastic ages and tears: sometimes on a seam, sometimes where the hanging tab meets the bag. There is no improvement that I can see to combat this. Time will tell if the silver plastic lasts any longer than the clear stuff.finally, I think it is about time Reliance put the valve where it should be: on the shower head itself. If the bag is high enough for a decent shower, you can't reach the valve. I have tried notched sticks and a hoisting rope with a series of knots, but really, just put a valve on the shower head.

We purchased a similiar one from the same company 17 years ago and the spigot recently broke. We use this at our seasonal home which does not have running water. We do have an indoor shower and we find this product works excellent for our needs. We heat the water on the stove first then hang the shower "ball" from a ceiling hook. We find it easier to fill it only to about half way. My only dis-like with our new one is the hose is only 16" where our former one is 24" but a trip to the local box store fixed that!

I bought 2, 8 years ago and one is still being used regularly each summer. The other was left out once over night and an animal bit a hole in it. It takes a while to get used to the process especially since 5 gallons of water is heavy but so long as we place it on a flat rock in the morning by 4pm the water is very warm and sometimes too much so. We use a double pulley (Tackle) we got from a sailing shop to hoist it up a tree. we never fold it to store it, and never had a leak.

Bag sprung a leak after a couple of weeks of minor use. Did not trust the handle when full of water, seemed very flimsy.

You fill the malleable (collapsable), squarely shaped reservoir with water and leave it in the sun to heat up. I left mine in the sun for several hours, a bit longer than the directions indicated, and it finally produced lukewarm water.You hang the reservoir from a tree or whatnot, and stand under it. Then you turn the nozzle and let water shower over you. The nozzle is cheap, and it's sure to leak. This is okay if you fill it and use it immediately, because technically, it's supposed to leak--all over your body. But my needs were to keep the water bag in my van for a time before taking my shower, and the water constantly dripped out.The company sends you a rope and hook with which to hang the bag. Ug. The S-hook should have come with a ring to tie the rope to. It didn't, so the rope is always slipping off. It's a stiff rope, almost impossible to tie to the S-ring.This is a poor product, but a product that will work if you use it seldomly. I think that, if you use it often, you will quickly grow annoyed.

I bought this for my son who is in Afghanistan. He and his Marines use it when they are in remote areas with out facilities. Not intended for everyday use...but a good morale builder. It works well in that environment.

Ive already gotten alot of use taking this shower on visits to beaches that dont have public showers. No problem at all with this providing hot water at a sunny beach. Great for rinsing sand and salt off after a dip in the ocean. As stated in the other review, water pressure is low so I use it with the hose only ,ie, shower head detached.
