Was having a lot of issues with fridge, multiple repair men, got these & kept sending pics to the landlord of temps & he got them to finally do something. Turns out they know my fridge has the worst design flaws so why they didn't do/check what they know the issue is in that model the first time is just laziness & going by the temp they took when they showed up instead of listening to me but with this device recording the up & downs.. it helped get it taken care of. Great peace of mind too for outages & just in general.

I was considering getting an old skool one as a backup for a double-check on accuracy, but this one has been doing the job in giving us numbers that seem to make sense based on how often we open the fridge door and for how long we keep the door open (as briefly as possible).Our fridge tech recommended we get one after a costly repair for a failed control board. He said to open your fridge door for as little duration and as few times as you can to preserve the cold environment and more benefits. For example, pull everything you want for breakfast and counter it versus constantly pulling items and putting them back. So far it has been working.This thermometer was ranked #2 on Amazon as I recall for affordable thermometers. It is very easy to read and has a large font size yet small footprint so it does not take up much space. It came with a mini screwdriver as well.So far it is "all good in the neighborhood" for our needs.

I have a cool vintage thermometer and it kept showing that the temperature in my refrigerator was dangerously low. I purchased this thermometer to verify that this was the case. Glad I did because this thermometer is showing that the refrigerator is working properly. Can’t believe I receive something at this price that is so great. Easy to use. If you don’t have a place to hang it, you can fold the hanger piece back and set it on your refrigerator Shelf. Easy to read. Very accurate. Love it.

Make sure your food is 40 degreea or below! I got stomach flu recently and THOUGHT it was from something prepared at a restaurant,until I checked my fridge temp and it was WAY OVER the FDA recommended 40° !! I actually think I made myself sick! This digital thermometer just hung on my rack and told me I wasnt COLD enough. I adjusted my temperature and feel much more safe. Works well.

A good thermometer that gets the job done. Got this for my 3.5 cubic ft deep freezer that doesn't have a thermometer and this worked just fine. Nothing fancy and has an easy-to-read display.

I wanted to know the max/min temp for my freezer -- mostly to see how high it got during power outages.This works well. I got the 4-pack, so I used the others in two bedrooms. It is handy for a rough reference because the precision is limited to about 1/2 degree F.It displays temp in tenths, but I found that the precision is only to about 1/2 degree -- for instance, it jumps from 69.8 to 70.2. Accurate enough to set temp and check for variations, but not exact.Cheaper than mechanical max/min thermometers. Also easy to read and reset.-Chris

Was troubleshooting a refrigerator. Bought a few of these to determine whether the fridge ever even entered the defrost cycle. (this unit keeps high and low temps in memory and during defrost cycle, the refrigerator temp rises). They indicated that the temp did increase enough to defrost. Since freezer would not defrost fully that lead me to the defrost thermostat being calibrated wrong even though it tested as working. Liked these so much, I bought 4 more pair so I can put one in every freezer and every refrigerator. Incidentally, I actually put one beside the defrost heater and the plastic melted but unit kept on working fine. Only issue was that the battery in one unit was very weak and that unit gave bad readings. Once the CR2032 battery got replaced it was fine.
