Used in indoor gardens to reflect the light back onto the plants. This film can be tacked or taped directly to a flat surface. Both sides are metalized for optimum reflectivity. I bought from this company which advertised 2 mil. It is only 1 mil when compared to another brand. I purchased this product from this company specifically for the 2 mil. I hope this was an error and they do not operate like this.

Will work great for my purposes, which is lining shelter huts for feral cats. The mylar reflects their body heat back to them, and when combined with a deep bedding of straw in a weatherproof shelter, makes for a very warm shelter, even thru brutal NY winters like this last one!

Lots of material for the price. Maybe I'm a little klutzy, or maybe I should have asked for help from a friend, because if you put this up by yourself and are covering large expanses, it's loud and crackly and you will crease it a lot at first until you get the hang of it. I was attaching the film to wood, which meant I could use household staples. Don't pull too hard, or it will come loose and need reattaching. Tape works fine.

When I was first installing this for my hydroponic setup I was treating it like tissue paper. This stuff is robust. It will crinkle and crease do you do have to be somewhat careful with it, but it isn't going to easily tear on you. Very reflective and a pretty good value here for what you are getting.

Product is definitally reflective, but you can see the light rays and their intensity all over the place. It makes me think there will be hotspots. Even when completely flat the light does not justbounce straight off, its all over the place.

Product is great. The items got here earlier than expected, which is great. The only thing I can suggest is that you tape the ends of the tubes better. I ordered two tubes of mylar and they both came loose at the ends and my mail carrier had to re-tape them. Other than that, I had great service and the price was right.

I bought this with the primary intent of using it to reflect light in my hydroponics setup. It is perfect for that application since it is incredibly reflective and easy to work with.I've also found a few other random uses for it, such as gift wrapping and random arts and crafts projects. It's surprisingly useful to have a giant roll of mylar around the house and it's hard to beat at this price.

This item seems to be reflecting the light back onto my indoor garden very well. It is much more reflective and sturdy than the mylar safety blankets. I would recommend this item.
