I ordered this & it came with no ball clamp, I reordered, and it too has no ball clamp.It is shown in the photo. That is the part which holds the ball hitch.

I bought this to replace the one on my trailer that broke. I must say it is a better quality and is a lot heavier built that the one I took off. Fit perfect and holds tight. Would Definitely Recommend

The coupler seems like it will work fine, and seems solidly built. It comes with a retained locking pin, which is a nice extra. It does not come with a Nyloc nut. Every one of these I have seen including the broken one I had has one. I don't see how the regular nut might not vibrate loose over time. It is probably an unlikely scenario, but that could be life or death or it does. I just reused my old nut until I can pick up a new one.

Just got this to replace the old coupler on our trailer. The old one would sometimes need a hammer to get it to lock in place. This one is built sturdy and was easy to install. The most difficult part was to keep the tension on the spring to be able to get the lock nut into a couple of threads before tightening it. Took about 5 minutes. Let's see how long this one lasts. The last one which came with the trailer lasted about 6 years with a bunch of finagling required over the past 3 years.
