Front mounted hitch receivers allow a variety of accessories to be mounted on the front of trucks, vans, or SUV’s to perform tasks that make outdoor adventures and activities easier and more fun. Accessories are easily interchanged, so the receiver is a practical and versatile addition to sporting and work vehicles. All front mount receivers have a 2” square receiver tube opening and all attachments are J-Pin ready. Front mounted receivers offer a secure and useful attachment point and offer 9000 lbs. of line pull and 500 lbs. vertical load. The METALSHIELD protective coating process is a three step finish consisting of a rust inhibiting primer, dipped E-coat electrostatic coating to insure total finish coverage and finally an outer powder coat finish for durability. The METALSHIELD process is an OEM compatible finish providing the best corrosion protection over brands that use only powder coat on their products. Install time is an estimated 40 minutes and requires 15, 18mm and 3/4" wrenches and 5/8" drill bit. Requires temporary removal of bumper during installation. Optional OEM Fog Lights must be removed for receiver installation.

First one they sent was the wrong part number.. waited a month for the replacement (must’ve been fabbed to order) anyway, it fits perfectly, and I’ve tested it with a recovery winch.. draw tite!

I installed on a 2004 Excursion and it was mostly painless. You have to remove the bumper, drill 4 holes in thin metal (bumper brackets) and then install everything. The inner most bolts and nuts aren’t the easiest to put on but it’s not super difficult.Build quality is phenomenal! I wish the front hitch on my 2500 Suburban was this beefy! (Yes, I have a thing for 3/4 ton SUVs) It says it’s rated for a 9k winch but looking at the design, welds, mounting, etc. I would think it could handle a 12k fine (don’t do this/try at your own risk).Overall, a front hitch is a necessity around the farm for easily moving trailers in tight spots and a winch. This one does not disappoint and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to any Super Duty owner.

I had this professionally installed by my regular diesel mechanic. He's installed front hitches before. This went on my 2004 Ford F350. Mechanic had two observations: 1. It was a #### to install, to the point he's not so sure he would do another. 2. It's a very sturdy product and very secure install for the weight it's rated to. He also handed me my fog lights, which he explained, have to come off for this to be installed. I didn't really need them, so not a big deal to me, but might be good to know in advance.

Very heavy duty, fit was perfect and installation was easy. While I had my bumper off I took the opportunity to knock a few dents out. Why pay someone else when it is so easy to do yourself.

Good name brand hitch. A little hard to install, but not impossible to put on in the driveway. The bolts are a half inch shorter than I would have liked, but they worked, just hard to get started on the nuts. Also, came wrapped in a little bit of shrink wrap and tape with no box at all, and a little scratched up. Hardware was all there, with instructions, tucked safely in the reciever hole.

Draw tite not Reese. Great heavy duty product. Installed easily except for the handle nuts and 1/4 inch thick washers that install on rear side of receiver and frame brackets. No room for hands or tools to fit handle nuts or washers in place. My solution was to bend handle nuts to fit and super gluing washer to handle nuts. Worked perfectly just took me 1 hour of fighting it before I tried the super glue, 10 minutes later I was done. No one I saw in review's mentioned difficulty with this, so I thought I would pass on my experience.

Install was simple on my 2000 F350. The hardest part was removing the bolts for the tow hooks. Ford used red loctite and they were a bear to get off. Other than that, install was straight forward. The instructions called for drilling 5/8 inch mounting holes but I opted to use a hole saw and drilled 3/4 inch holes so there was a little more adjustment room once the bumper was on. Took about 2 hours all said and done. Haven't towed on it yet, but it's definitely built strong. It's pretty beefy and I have no doubts it can handle 9000 lbs as stated.
