Heavy duty reel, very heavy and needs to be mounted to something substantial otherwise will pull off the wall. Seems to be decent quality so far.

I love everything about this hose reel. I didn't really know much about them but I looked at a bunch of different ones and I just kept coming back to this one. As luck would have it, the hose that came on the reel sprung a leak from old age and pulling it in and out of the reel. I bought this unit in May of 2018 which makes it 8 1/2 years old. I have a one ton pick up with 35" tires on it, a Ford Explorer and a BMW 325CI convertible all with expensive tires on them and all that get checked and adjusted regularly. I also have 2 motorcycles and an ATV in the garage and a 30' Stryker Toy Hauler and Big Tex 14' landscaping trailer both with dual axles and 4 tires each so without even using air tools this reel gets used a lot. I also have two additional 50' spools of hose with quick disconnects so I don't have to worry about moving cars around or getting out to the RV out in the parking area. This hose reel has never failed me, never jammed or slipped. It always did its job perfectly and after 8 1/2 years I'm not angry that the hose is quitting as I never turn the compressor off because I can't stand waiting to fill the 33 gallon tank up. If you're on this page and looking at this hose reel, buy it and be done with it. Because like everything else, it's only going to keep going up in price. Also before you pull the trigger, depending on where your compressor is located in relationship to the reel, you'll need a short length of 3/8" hose to go from the compressor to the reel. Some guys do with with quick disconnects and some just do it direct like I did. My reel is directly above my compressor so a 3' length of hose was perfect. Do you homework so you don't have to make a bunch of buys. Do it once and get it out of the way. Remember, you get what you pay for. If you buy cheap, you're going to get cheap and your accessories won't last long. Buy a second or even 3rd 50' air hose and good quick disconnects. Buy a good airgun that will give you a good blast of air when you need it. This reels is a bit more expensive than other but like I said the hose quit and I'm not going to complain over 8 1/2 years of great service.

I am a DIY auto tinkerer. use most weekends in all temps 20F- 100F. the hose is decent, lasted about 4 years which is all i expect out of a hose. replaced the hose because the reel is still working great. I will say it is a little difficult to install because there isn't a separate bracket you install first. So it is impossible to get ratchet back there. have to use a wrench which is difficult but doable.

I mounted this hosereel in my shop from the ceiliing. Looks to be pretty heavy duty, rolls out and retracts very nicely. Good price with solid construction. I just bought another one for my son's shop.
