Calibrating Accuracy

M1 Caliber REEKON Clamp

Quick Clamping

The clamping action on the M1 Caliber ensures the M1 stays where it is mounted and securely positions itself. The measuring arm automatically adjusts to the material height slid underneath it. The M1 can clamp to both the left and right side of the saw fence

Metric and English Units

The M1 Caliber can display most english and metric units including, inches fractional, inches decimal, feet, millimeters, centimeters, and meters.

Well, after struggling to add DROs to a metal lathe, mill, and drill press, I looked at this and thought "easy-peasy". It says "just clamp on the fence". My miter saw has a fence, I can do this. Except, it turns out that the fence is just a tiny bit too thick for the clamp to lock on. No problem I thought, they have an adapter plate, I'll order that. Turns out the "plate" is a pair of fairly thick slabs of prticle board, one of which has a small metal tab to clamp the device on. It also comes with a fairly random bag of screws and no instructions. I did a trial fit and found that (1) it interferes slightly with the in-feed clamp unless I off set it substantially to the right and (2) it takes up needed space in the work area. Kind of like having a sacrificial fence that you have no need for. So, next plan is to find a piece of aluminum that the clamp likes, fasten that to the back of my fence (possibly with epoxy to avoid having to countersink screws in a not all that thick fence) and yeah, this thing is a snap to install, just clip it on and go! I guess I'll never learn. Hope this helps someone. We fools rush in where fools have been before ; )

Absolutely terrible product. Iv tried numerous times to set this thing up and all goes well at first but blade thickness does not store and measurement is never accurate. I would not recommend this product to anyone it is more work than it’s worth. I’ll stick with the simple measure 2x cut once method.

Almost as fast as using stop blocks but for measuring individual random cuts it's really accurate. Easy to set up and use.

I'll give you all a moment to stop gigglingThe Reekon M1 is one of a few items over the past couple years that I saw used on Youtube that turned into a serious game changer.====> AS LONG AS YOU SET IT UP AND CALIBRATE IT PROPERLY! I have a Bosch GCM12SD Miter saw and quickly found out it was not immediately compatible. My fences don't have a proper spot to clamp onto so I had to purchase their adapter fences and mount them first. Annoying yes, but not a deal breaker. In reality i maybe could have researched that but I was a bit too excited. Either way once you get the blade kerf dialed in and your first calibration cut out of the way, you are on your way to perfect repeatable cuts. Its also super portable, I brought it with me to my Brother-in-laws and mounted it on his Metabo miter saw while helping him build a fence.Pros: Easy to read display, super accurate, vastly speeds up my cut lists, and comes in a nice foam storage case.Cons: For the cost they could have included the 2 AA batteries needed, make sure the piece you are cutting doesn't have major depressions or knot holes in the path of the measurement wheel ( the wheels distance traveled will be different from the straight length ), and you may not know if your saw is 100% compatible until you're there with the device in hand

I had my first one work great until a kickback blew it of my saw. It hit the wall and broke a clamp and would not even turn on.My fault.I ordered a second one. Well the wheel was running crooked and would just stop turning. I have returned it. Dont know if i will order another one
