I’m a DIYer who is comfortable undertaking modest electrical repairs or upgrades on my property. But I’m not a professional electrician, so please take my review accordingly.I like that these wire nuts have the ribbed surface and wings that allow the user to grip and twist on the nut tightly. You can also take advantage of drill/driver bits designed to accept and tighten the wire nut with a battery powered tool, should you so desire.I couldn’t find a reference on the wire nut’s Amazon listing that indicates whether the nut requires the user to twist the conductors prior to applying the nut; or, whether the wire nut can accept non-twisted conductors, and tighten the as a single action. Since the literature I’ve found doesn’t say one way or the other, I’d say the safe play is assume that the user must tighten the connectors as a separate and distinct action from applying and tightening the wire nut.The vendor claims UL listed and I have no reason to doubt this. These appear to be quality items and I feel quite comfortable using them for their intended purpose. Five stars.
