It's important to know that this yarn has no dye lot, which means a ball I bought over six years ago blended seamlessly with the ball I bought yesterday. There is absolutely no sign of any difference whatsoever in colour or texture. The knitted garment both above and below the pen in the photo are identical. the old yarn below. The quality - just okay, serviceable. It's a decent yarn for everyday items. I use it for afghans, family socks and other accessories and I'm making an everyday pullover with it now, as this yarn is tough and machine washable and dryable. It doesn't shrink.The flecks do fall off rather easily and more so in the washing machine. It knits up like worsted and not woollen, so not as warm but far more durable.*The weight is #4, worsted weight.*The recommended needles are 5 mm and 5.5 mm crochet hook, but YMMV. I tend to need smaller needles to get the right gauge.*The yardange is 260 or 238 metres. No gauge is given, depends on what you are making and the pattern, o a gauge swatch is recommended.Coats & Clark makes this now in Canada with imported acrylic fibres (96%) I'd buy it again, as I have many times.

Gorgeous. Exactly the colour I wanted, and it’s so much thread for such a low price, and a good quality thread. No problems while crocheting. I crocheted this hat. Feels nice, I think it will be durable since the thread never tangled while I was crocheting, though I finished this hat just a few days ago.

I have been making granny square blankets for storm victims and this is an easy to wash and try to maintain for people who need to laundry quickly and easily durable and warm as well I like that it is an economically minded product that provides easy maintenance and warmth I have used this brand for over 50 years I do like the colors although it is hard to find the wide array in retail stores currently(nc) I still like my basic go to for about any project because it is durable i crochet for my relaxation and me time and try to pass it on to benefit those who know it is handmade with them in mind!

It’s way more vibrant than expected so I can’t use it for my original ideas HOWEVER my much younger sibling loves it so I’m making her a sweater. It’s pretty sturdy! Lot more green than expected however it’s actually a really good color distribution. I’m making a hexagon sweater for her and it’s pretty good! I think the three skeins might be enough for it, however with that fabulous price I’ll totally buy more if it’s not

This is your classic bulk yarn. It is a very vibrant red and nice, thick weight. It is perfect for crafting projects that you need to do a lot of repeats on. It is true to color and true to description. Just remember, if this is your first time with the bargain yarns, they are not soft to the touch. They have a thicker, coarser texture. Not ideal for baby blankets or sweaters, etc. I used it to make santa purses and a santa cozy for reusable coffee cups, and it was perfect. Held it's shape well, even with a lot of tension on the yarn and it held well for the tie offs. It is excellent for my intended purpose.
