Replacement of this item was only made difficult by the cheap screws used by the vehicle manufacturer that rusted so badly that they had to be drilled out cautiously.Aside from that, this can be performed by the novice auto enthusiast in about 30 minutes being a plug and play item with 4 screws to secure the lights above the license plate.Screws and light bulbs are provided making for a pleasant addition to this product purchase. Worth the money.

My Cruze’s rear trunk switch stopped working also the passive entry. Trunk still opened with the remote. So I ordered this kit for the switch alone. Upon taking my assembly apart the light lenses were faded so I cut the wires and spliced in the lights and switch. Soldered and shrink wrapped those connections. Now the passive entry works great and the lights are bright like new. This product saved me cash 💰 💵…….. 😃Thanks ☺️

Very easy replacement. Fits and functions great. The original that I took out was not functioning and had a manufacture date of Feb 2011. Nice to have a tailgate trunk button instead having to use the key fob. Thirty minute job.

I liked how it fit correctly and matched the existing wiring harness. I used an online video to see how to remove the trunk liner. One minor issue was that the license plate bulbs were incandescent and not LED.

Total installation time was two hours. Much longer than a prior replacement on a 2012 Cruze.The replacement license plate bulb sockets are not the same as the OEM. The OEM lamp lenses must be removed and replaced.1. If you are in winter salt country, the lamp lense screws will be badly rusted and may no longer have a useable phillips screw head. I had to drill a couple of mine being very careful to not destroy the plastic trim panel.2. The OEM trunk release pressure switch on my 2014 Cruze was factory sealed into place as an apparent attempt to keep out moisture. It took a whole lot of time and patience to dig it out and not destroy the trim panel it was glued to.

Easy to install, I did it all by myself as a young female. I bought this for my car forever ago. my license plate lights went out and the screws were stripped, and my trunk button hadn’t worked since I bought the car. It fixed all of my issues, it’s held up well!
