This product is terrible. I have had for 3 months and the step snapped off completely. I have used it less than 20 times. I am 170 lbs soaking wet. After some research, I found that the footstep is not even made with structural support underneath like all the other ones on the market. It is a piece of thin metal with no ability to hold weight. Do not buy unless you want to replace after a handful of uses.Wish I knew what to look for ant the time and I would not have bought this. There are other steps about the same cost that have reinforced steps that will not bend or break off.

Well built and probably meets OEM standards or better. To install, you must disconnect the 3" wide connector. You'll need to thread this thru the opening on the bracket and reconnect after mounting. Took about 20 minutes.2023 Ram Longhorn dual exhaust.

***Update*** After about 4 uses, the 'foot pedal' completely bent from weight of stepping on it. The steel this is made with and design allowed for a very light person to completely bend the pedal out of shape. This poor construction makes this step very fragile. I was easily able to bend this back in place, but obviously I can hardly use it for the purpose. Steer clear and spend more money on a better version or use a different solution.*****Top hole was too small. No instructions. Box was torn. Very very tight fit. Seems it is slightly bent on purpose to allow installation eliminating the need for use of a slotted hold point but also makes for easier installation without exhaust removal. 3 bolts. Ain't going anywhere for a while. Should do the trick.

I just bought this bed step for my $70,000 Ram truck thinking it was a quality product. I spent more than an hour twisting, turning, clanging and banging to get this to fit. Skinned hands and fingers later, it was on. NOTE: it touches and rattles against the tail pipe. So, I kick it out and step on it to get into the truck and the steps bends!!!! What the ... so, I bend it back. Tried again, same thing. Looks to be made of cheap metal, likely aluminum. I can't believe I spent this money and wasted my time on this trash of a bed step. I'm going to take it off and throw it directly in the garbage. Absolutely a piece of junk. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR HARD EARNED MONEY!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!!

PRO's:1. It took about a 10 minutes to install.2. It doesn't stick out too far when stored.3. It easy to get in the bed when pulled down.Cons:1. Not sure I like how it snaps back in. Seems like that can be problem in the future.2. no video on how to install it and diagram provided in the box is not super easy to follow.

No complaints. Item build well. It took me an hour to install. I didn't need the unplug the wire harness as mentioned in the instructions. I just unfastened the clips holding the cable and I was able to work around it. I used a breaker bar to get the two bolts loose. No problems. Love the function and looks. 2020 Ram 1500 Laramie.

I am a believer in both OEM parts for quality and aftermarket for price. Sometimes you can get a bit of both and this is one of those times. The key for this step is to be able to use the existing mount point like the MOPAR unit, install relatively easily, and to operate without issue. This item achieves it all. It is a heavy unit with points jutting out all over but they packaged it well enough to protect it in transit. Good bolt and decent instructions (go check the multitudes of online videos for even better views of the task) makes for an enjoyable installation process. I am nearly 400 solid pounds so I can tell you there is zero worry with this item at its rated capacity. The only caveat you need to be wary of is that it WILL hit the exhaust pipe on any dual exhaust model of 1500. I have a 2021 RAM 1500 Longhorn Limited, lifted on 35" tires mounted on 20" rims so this step was vital to reducing the chance of me hurting myself rolling my carcass into the truck bed. Highly recommended.

Picked it up 'used - like new' but it was missing the additional bolt needed. I had one so no big deal.Install is easy, move one wire, remove 2 factory bumper bolts, put in place put the factory bolts back, then add the 3rd bolt (that was missing in my case).I'm a large person and feel comfortable jumping on it. Makes getting into the bed so much easier. When in up position its barely noticeable. We go over landing and I was concerned that it would hang below the bumper and catch on things. I have to say I'm impressed at the fitment. When in the up position it tucks right up into the bumper, barely anything sticking out our below the bumper.Well satisfied and would recommend for anyone looking at it.
