Step is sturdy to stand on and the nonslip surface assures that you will not slide while on the step. Purchased for a side x side.

I bought this hitch step over many others because it was very fairly priced for what it is...a solid metal step, with raised circular cutouts for step traction. Others were more expensive and/or had plastic on the step or just diamond-surface steps. Super easy to install. A quality step that will also protect my bumper from folks not paying attention...recommended highly.

This is a no-frills, affordable hitch step. With that said, it is very solid and I have no concerns about it. Should last a long time.

This thing is a beast! I am a big guy and have no concerns about bending or breaking this. It is all heavy duty steel construction without any plastic anywhere. I also appreciate how the holes were punched or formed, so they provide the traction. Even with wet shoes, I won't be slipping off. This was my concern with other steps that were made with plastic tread.

These aren't attractive enough to leave on the vehicle but they do the job when you need a step. My only complaint is that they're steel. They could easily be lightweight aluminum so you could throw in a storage box with other things in the van.

I brought this product because of back problems, I needed something to put my foot on when I tie my golf shoes. Works perfectly. I can also use it to sit when I take my golf shoes off. The added bonus is I can stand on it to reach the top of my SUV. It is very sturdy unlike the plastic one sold by another company.

After looking at several other similar steps for my truck I landed on this one and am pleased overall. I chose this one over another that I liked because it has holes with raised edges for traction whereas the other one had a much smoother stepping surface which, of course, is more dicey in wet conditions. Glad I went with this one as it offers a very positive grip. Installation was easy. There is a little bit of play in the hitch tube but a couple of wraps with some duct tape will snug it up nicely. If feels rock solid when stepping on and it looks good, too. I also like the fact that it will serve as a bumper guard. Bottom line: if safety is important to you when using a step like this for getting into the rear of your truck bed... this one is solid, attractive and has excellent traction.
