I set it up and placed it in my son's room. Sometime through the night it just stopped working. I went in the next am and it was off. Just ka put. not even 12 hours

Habe den Wecker für meinen Sohn gekauft, der häufig mitten in der Nacht im Zimmer stand und frühstücken gehen wollte. Nach zwei mal Pech mit defekten Geräten (Verkäufer hat sich super um meine Reklamation gekümmert), funktioniert der dritte nun problemlos.Mein Dreijähriger kann nun anhand der Farbe der Kugel nachts ganz alleine erkennen, ob noch Schlafenszeit ist, oder er schon aufstehen kann. Gerade für Kinder, die noch keine Uhr lesen können, eine ganz tolle Erfindung und hilft durch die individuell einstellbaren Zeitpläne bestimmt auch Kindern dabei, feste Abendroutinen zu entwickeln: Bei gelbem Licht geht das zu Bett gehen los und es wird sich umgezogen und Zähne geputzt, beim lila Licht noch zwanzig Minuten Buch gelesen, beim dunkel blauen Licht geht’s ins Bett etc. Dazu noch leichte akustische Untermalung!Wenn es etwas zu kritisieren gäbe, dann dass mir selbst die dunkelste Einstellung noch einen Tick zu hell ist, aber dafür gibt es keinen Punktabzug!

This device is a mash-up between a noise machine, alarm clock and bedside light, all of which are useful in themselves. Building them into one unit is a great idea.Ask an adult I regularly use a noise machine at night, because it drowns out random sounds from outside, and helps me sleep without being awoken by disturbances. After a while it can have a Pavlov's dog effect - turn on the sound (rain noise in my case) and I instantly feel relaxed and sleepy! So there's a double benefit there.The alarm clock feature is good, and has a feature that allows you to set up a light coming on, to awaken you gently, as if the sun is coming up. This is a nice way to wake up, and increases my feeling of energy in the mornings. Having said that, some of the suggestions about colour coding your childs' life and setting times for different lights to indicate different activities seems a little too controlling to me, and very Big Brother. This device does come from China after all.I'm not a huge fan of smartphone apps, and there has been a lot of concern about security issues, and access to your files and information, which can be accessed but them. I keep an old phone just for device apps, that's cleared on any files or personal stuff, and has no data in it. That's the only way I'd agree to use this type of device, and I have no desire for foreign governments to collect all my personal information.Provided you can avoid data harvesting and you don't take it to extremes with the scheduling, I think this device is useful and fun. I like it.

I love this light. After trying many this one is perfection. The light actually dims low enough to use at night time. The programming is easy although the timing is weirdly in 4 hour max increments. We used to have the Hatch for my older kids and this is every bit as good for a much lower price point. Even better because of the clock function. I love that tap function to turn on and off the light and clock.
