Quick delivery, I was very impressed with quality of the foam. It does take a bit of a beating to fluff the pillow but once complete it’s ready to use. I enjoy the adjustable headrest and find that it supports my back while sitting in bed. Suggested for anyone with an injury that requires them to be in bed for long periods. A must for my back.

I needed a plush backrest for daytime when I'm on my daybed doing reviews on my laptop or writing articles. I wanted something that matched my bedding, so this was the best choice. There are a wide range of these types of pillows and this one seemed to check most of the boxes.It came with a detachable neck rest cylinder pillow. I removed it and I use this while sleeping instead of with the backrest. Funny, that. Three stars because I think I paid too much regardless of how useful it is.

The pillow arrived. I opened the box and took pillow out of the vacuum pack bag to let it fluff up. Went to go use it and was majorly disappointed. This pillow is a child size pillow. It is not 21 in tall it's barely over 16 in tall. It does not even reach to the back of my neck. It is very uncomfortable. This pillow might work for a small adult or child but not someone that is 5'10. I will be returning this. The fabric might have been cut to 21 in but when it's stuffed it shrinks down. Don't know why the makers don't understand that.

So far, this is working out well. Having looked over the photos, I wasn't surprised that the item arrived nearly flat inside a vacuum bag. Took it out and tossed it in the dryer with no heat and a few "tennis" balls (they're actually dryer balls, but same idea) for 15 minutes or so. Let set overnight.Seems mostly expanded, though the right arm is less filled than the left on mine. Tried to work some more filling down into that area, which helped some, but it's still a little uneven. I really don't care much about that.What I'm most pleased with is the firmness. Years ago I had a bed-rest/reading/"husband" pillow I had acquired locally somewhere. I believe the filling was described as "shredded fiber" maybe. But what it had in it was basically tiny shredded rags. The thing was heavy and *very* firm -- it was perfect and provided excellent back support in bed while using laptop for years. Eventually a seam came undone and I figured I'd chuck it and get another one.Have not been able to find anything like it since! Wish I had just sewn it.Anyway, tried Brentwood foam filled for a year or so... and the back support was inadequate. The "foam filled" options I've seen in stores are just like it: very springy. So you eventually get some firmness but only after pressing into the thing a good 8 inches or more. It doesn't seem effective.So far, this shredded foam option is much firmer, much less springy, and support seems more evenly distributed.Will have to see how it holds up over time.One negative: Really not a fan of velour/plush. Would love to see a model in a heavy cotton/poly twill.For those wondering about how well it stays upright without a wall/headboard behind it: that would definitely not work well. (And I've never seen a bed-rest/reading/husband pillow that did.)

* made in china, yet high quality. made very well.* removable cover.not made like the ones years ago.. not as heavy, substantial, firm. i guess they don't make those anymore. these are as good as it gets on the newer models, though. they are very firm in an air inflated way. you can push them in and they give, yet they are firm once the give is reached. they are move-y... not as stable behind your back as old style. again, like something inflated.these have you in a much more upright position than old style. you can slouch down, but it will have your chin in your chest. these are made to sit up. actually better for reading and doing work in bed. for slouching down and just watching tv.. not as good. you can lean the pillow at more of an angle so you can slouch, but then the little arms are popping a wheelie.made very, very well. i would definitely buy again. if it and old style were side by side, i would pick older style. but i would have no problem getting one of these if old style were not available, and they are not.as for smells.. well yeah it smells new. like everything does that is manufactured and new. i don't understand the snowflakes on this issue. i remember a time when folks bragged about the new smell. you want a new car that smells like a glass of water right off the lot?
