Great clock! I have purchased many clocks over the years and I have to say that this one is probably the best of all. Here is why I say that:1. Accurate. Nothing is more important than accuracy and many clocks are not. This one is very accurate.2. Full range brightness dimmer. Awesome feature! Allows you to dial in the brightness with stepless adjustment form off to very bright. I don't think I've ever seen this before.3. Attractive and nice size.4. inexpensive!! Only $14!To those complaining that the clock is defective for not working on battery only, please read the product description before posting a negative review. It's not supposed to. The battery is for backup only. If the power goes out the clock will maintain the correct time when the power comes back on, or if you unplug it to move it and plug it back in again. i guess it would be nice if it ran on battery only but I don't mind at all. Batteries are an ongoing expense I can do without.

I bought this clock for two reasons - fully adjustable display brightness and capability to plug in a cell phone for charging. The display size and brightness are perfect for me, but I’m not able to charge my iPhone 15 using this unit. Anytime I had it plugged in to charge, after about 15 minutes, the clock would power down momentarily and reset the clock. The adapter seemed to get very warm when plugged in. I gave up trying to use the usb port for charging my phone. Otherwise, it’s a decent clock with a small footprint. It’s nice that the volume of the alarm is adjustable as well.

Tous le monde l'adore. Il est beau, simple et nous pouvons régler la luminosité ainsi que le son de l'alarme. Donc ça n'éclaire pas trop la nuit mais juste assez pour faire une vieillesse selon le besoin

I have trouble sleeping if there is any kind of light or glow in my room at night. I wanted a bedside clock that I could see how much longer I have to sleep without looking at my cellphone and waking myself up completely by the bright screen of my cellphone. I tried to other clocks before this one, and they were horrible.....both advertised that they were dimmable.....and they were......BUT they both had white digits and the white numbers created a glow on my bedside table that illuminated the entire corner of the room. Plus, one did not dim enough and the other wouldn't stay dimmed and would brighten on it's own in the middle of the night. I was hesitant to try this little alarm clock after two previous fails, but I didn't to chance it and am I glad I did!Nothing fancy about this little clock. It has large enough digits and these are RED and DO NOT create any type of glow on my bedside table or within the room. This clock is very user friendly to set both the time and the alarm and has a knob for the loudness of the alarm and the dimmer.I used it for the first time last night and it was EXACTLY what I wanted!!! I turned the dial to the bare minimum brightness. It was just enough for me to glance and see how much time I had to sleep before the alarm. There was NO glow on my tabletop and the dimmer switch held the position I set it at. Also it has an extra USB port in the back that I can plug my phone in at bedtime and have it fully charged when I wake up 6 hours later.Winner Winner, Chicken Dinner!!

This clock is great for night use. The display is large enough to read from a good distance & the red color not only doesn't illuminati everything around it like a beacon, it's easy on the eyes -- doesn't hurt to look @ or immediately wake you up. There is actual science behind using red light @ night -- whether in nightlights or clocks -- that effects your eyes, wakefulness, & even mood!"These cells... [ipRGCs] are most sensitive to blue wavelengths and least sensitive to red wavelengths."If you want to have a clock immediately readable at all times... use a clock that emits red light." -Tracy Bedrosian, PhDThe display can also be dimmed if you like to keep it closer to the bed. It's easily programmable to the time & alarm. The snooze is a sleek flat surface (the entire top of the clock, in fact!) -- no actual "button" to gather dust or finger grime over time. Easy to clean. The clock itself being black also makes it a great nighttime device; the light of the display doesn't reflect off of the surrounding plastic. The entire thing being an oval in shape makes it more modern in appearance than other more rectangular clocks, or even rectangular clocks with rounded corners.I do not use the alarm, nor have I ever tested the alarm feature on this clock as I use my cellphone as an "alarm clock". Therefore I cannot attest to it's accuracy or volume.I highly recommend this clock for anyone's nighttime clock. I also have it's counterpart: the white clock with white numbers (I use it in the living room where it's typically bright & since I'm not sleeping in there, red & black are unnecessary).
