Owning a Malamute has it's own challenges when it comes to grooming. This dematting comb works perfectly especially in the difficult hindquarters. It does not pull or hurt as long as you are careful when approaching a difficult area. Very happy with purchase.

Easy to use. Will not pull the hair. I use it on my standards before bathing or if they have any matting. It’s perfect for my make as he has the thickest tightest curls of any standard I have ever owned. He absolutely hates to sit still for combing as he has better things to do.therefore I usually brush his head and one quarter of him at a time. This makes quick work of his brushing sessions. It does cut the hair a little so I wouldn’t recommend as a daily thing. But it’s fine to use once a month or if you noticed a matted spot.

Thank you so much for selling a comb that truly cuts through matting! I have a husky mix with the FLOOFIEST tail, and I was struggling with so many brushes to keep it fluffy and untangled. This is the brush! It helped me take care of the mats that I hadn't been and to successfully address and is keeping that matting away! Highly recommend for the floofs!

My bernedoodle was too matted and groomer wanted to shave her. I thought there must be a better way…. And this tool is the solution. I spent hours with this tool and a few other combs before washing, and after drying. Was able to trim her myself (used km10 clippers with 1.5” guards). If the clippers got stuck I brought out this tool and quickly resolved the problem. My doodle didn’t mind this at all but hates the slicker brush. But of course you have to use both. I can’t compare to other similar products but this did the job for me and no groomer required. Keep in mind the entire grooming process took me 8-10 hours. Lesson learned to comb more frequently!

How did I get along for so long without a tool like this for Great Pyrenees coats and all the matts? I have used many things including the claw-shaped dematting combs but they still took forever because the matts are deeply buried in 4” of fur. This is quick, the blades are curved away from the skin and quickly removed even the most stubborn. It only took 4 quick actions to remove a big wad behind the ear! I was so afraid to use scissors that might cut the skin. These they are well protected from cuts.You won’t go wrong with these!

I have 2 Labradoodles with slightly different coats. This tool worked very well compared to a different product i tried first. I will say that it probably depends on the breed/coat for how effective it can be. It probably got 75% of the matting out in a short amount of time. I follow up with a steel comb to get all the broken clumps of fur left behind by this comb cutting through the mats. By itself i think it works just fine but will require more passes.My only complaint with this tool is the one sided design. It makes it difficult to attempt passes at different angles requiring you to switch hands making it just feel awkward.

My Australian shepherd gets heavy mats, especially since he loves swimming. This comb feels safe to use, but it has to “saw” through mats. Not a fast process. But it’s better than trying to comb through. Works great for loose mats.
