This was used for my 1997 Tj. It works as expected and is a good quality product. Rampage stands behind the products they sell, and I recommend them to anyone who needs something they manufacture.

Easy install and looks great! I have 31 x 11.5 x15 tires. This kit fits my tire size perfectly. My third brake light with provided spacer is a little higher above my tire than the OEM spare setup. In my opinion, a 32” tire would also fit well with decent third brake light visibility. A 33” tire may cover most or all of the light. The third brake light wire harness is plenty long enough to plug back in with no harness modification. Any spacer taller than the one provided, would necessitate splicing the light harness to make it longer. When assembling, space is limited to tighten the hardware. I highly recommend a ratcheting wrench to make assembly easier.

This product is of really great quality. Does everything it’s suppose too. Installation was a breeze! The only thing I don’t like is my tire sticks out to much in my opinion and the light extension needs to be about 1/2 inch taller. Other than that it’s great and did the job!

Installed bigger tires on my TJ and the same size spare wouldn't fit on the stock carrier...……..ordered this adapter and 15-20 minutes to install and VOILA...….now my big spare comes with me....Top quality, all the holes are where they are supposed to be......….totally satisfied!!

Great product. Excellent quality and easy to install. It's nice to see a good product that is exactly what it is described as, and is a great value. If your putting larger tires on your Jeep and want to run a proper spare, you need this.

I just want to set the record straight. I fished through countless reviews and questions over this product wondering if my 33x12.5x15 tires would be compatible. Figured "F it" its $40 I'll just take my chances and if it doesn't work I'll return it. It does indeed work. Sure there's a small gap between the bumpers and the tires, but if you follow the instructions to the T and dotted i's, this is a solid product and holds your spare on firmly. Overly pleased with spending $40 rather than $400 on a simple solution to mounting my oversized tires. No extra strain on my tailgate. Fits snug and looks great. If anyone's wondering, it lifts the tire up 2.5" and pushes it out 2.5".

Works great. We mounted a 32" tire on the spare rim and had to purchase this (99 Jeep Sahara). The light kit works great too. The tire bracket lowers and extends the tire outward, while the light bracket raises the 3rd brake light. Works perfect, see photos.

Works fine on moving both the TJ rear tire out and up. I'm running 31's (Goodyear Duratracs 31x10.5R15 on stock rims) and the 3rd brake light extension has just enough clearance to peak over the top of the tire. Could see how 32's might hide a portion of the 3rd brake light. When installing the 3rd brake light extension, make sure to release the electrical line from the plastic clip on the 3rd brake light bracket to buy yourself some wiggle room. Only complaint is the tire no longer seats up against the bumps - expect it would be worse with aftermarket rims. Would be nice if Rampage also supplied some various extensions for the bumps - know it could be a challenge given all of the different backspacing options but suspect folks would be willing to pay extra for that.

When I received this product it was well packaged and had some weight to it. I was pleased to find that it was made of iron. The instructions were on one page but very clear. They even had specific comments for installing on my 2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ. I did not have to drill any additional holes and it required some tools to assemble, but that is to be expected. The installation stretched the 3rd break wire to its limit and I may have to reroute that at some point. The only negative is that the 3rd break light barely makes it past my 33" Goodyear Duratrack. They say it will work with a 33" tire but it doesn't completely clear my spare tire.Overall, I am very pleased because of the quality and that all parts were included to complete my project. I now have a full size spare that is secure and out of the way. My Jeep looks great!
