This timer has been a game changer for my garden maintenance routine. The build quality is solid. The timer is made from durable, weather-resistant materials exposed to sun, rain, and accidental bumps. It still looks and functions as it did on day one. The buttons are clearly labeled with a digital display that's easy to read even in bright sunlight. Programming the schedule was simple allowing customization of start time, duration, and frequency of watering sessions. It has performed reliably, turning the water on and off as programmed. I haven't experienced any leaks or malfunctions. The water flow is consistent, keeping my plants well-watered without any issues. Considering the convenience and reliability, it's an excellent value for the money. I highly recommend this outdoor water timer to anyone looking to simplify their garden watering routine

I have been using hose timers to irrigate areas on my property for over a decade now, from May through October. I have become discouraged about the high failure rate I have been experiencing from the Orbit (half of the ones I’ve purchased fail within the first year or two, whereas some have lasted for 5+ years - but it’s a crap shoot and my most recent failure was a valve that didn’t close which added hundreds of $$ to my water bill). So thought I’d try switching to the Rainpoint brand. Seems to be working reliably so far but only time will tell. Quality does seem better than the Orbit so I’m hopeful, no leaks and the connections seemed easier. BUT, it took me several attempts to get the valves to open and close initially. You must follow the instructions in the users manual EXACTLY as stated. I’m so familiar with hose timers that I felt it shouldn’t be necessary to follow this very specific procedure. Therefore I dropped a star. But the rest (installing and programming) is super easy. I’ll be happy if I can get more than just a couple of irrigation seasons out of this and if so, I’ll come back and give it the full 5 stars. Oh, and when using hose timers, to make them last, it’s important to keep them out of direct sunlight (cover them with a cloth or something) and don’t leave them connected outside during the cold and/or wet winter season - a bit of a hassle but necessary for longevity.

Six weeks ago I purchased 7 timers for my yard and my mother-in-law’s. I installed them after overseeding, and it has been a game changer! In prior years I would spend over an hour every morning and then again in the evening moving sprinklers around to keep the moisture level conducive to grass-growth. With these timers I’m saving so much time!They are easy to set up and easy to program.They aren’t perfect, though. For one, when you switch to manual mode (for example when washing the car or watering plants) and then back to auto-on, the sprinkler doesn’t resume its schedule but resets. (The schedule is still intact.) So, say you have the schedule set for every two days and the next watering is supposed to happen in two days, but then you switch to manual mode for a few minutes to do other watering. When you turn the timer back “on” it will re-engage the schedule the next day instead of in two days. So you then have to turn it off and remember to come back the next day and turn it back on in order to get back on the preferred schedule. Also, if you have a multi-hose timer and have everything programmed, but then you decide you don’t need to use one of the hose ports it appears the only way to stop using that hose ports is to reset the entire schedule for the timer.Neither one of these are major issues. The convenience, easy and intuitive programming and usage still warrant five stars imo.

Bought this one as my first one was so fantastic. Never have to remember about watering the plants. Plus I set it for 5am before the sun gets out and evaporates the water before it gets to the plants. Easy to use and set up. Highly recommend
