The self-cleaning emitters with turbulent flow carry sediments out of the system to reduce clogging. Connects to ¼ in. tubing or attaches directly into ½ in., 5/8 in., or 0.710 in. supply tubing. Ideal for watering individual shrubs and trees in landscapes, and plants in container pots and hanging baskets. Dripper is made of polyethylene and silicone treated with UV inhibitors. Drip irrigation systems are easy to customize, install, and operate. Pressure compensating emitters are designed to maintain a constant flow rate at varying inlet pressures and at each position along the length of tubing. Like the concept of these but some of them drip at a lower or higher drip rate than 1GPH. Still, for what I used them for (tree watering) they work ok.

I use these to restrict the water flow for an indoor automatic watering system.Plants near the pump were getting most of the water. Putting these inline for each plant solved the problem.So works well, and has put up with pump's pressure so far. Next project is a gravity feed from an outdoor rain barrel to a raised garden bed. The dripper will come in handy for that.
