It work well enough but should be wider and deeper or square and bigger. It’s thin but does do an ok job.

I would not recommend these at all. They are made of a very thin metal and were much smaller than I expected when I purchased them. The biggest issue is because they are so flimsy, I was not able to appropriately weigh them down so when the wind started blowing my rain chains, these just blew away. I tried weighing down with rocks, anchoring to my rain drain but nothing worked. Every time it stormed these would get more and more damaged and after having them up for less than 2 months, I had to replace them with a sturdier option - which meant these were money down the drain. If you live somewhere without a lot of wind/storms, this might work for you, but otherwise I would look elsewhere.

I filled the basin with polished black river rock and drilled drainage holes to prevent water standing the in the bowl all the time.

Attractive and functional. Great sound when the rain flows down the chain.

The metal used seems pretty thin, but I’m giving it a chance. There is, what I consider, to be a major flaw in the design. The chain included with the bowl doesn’t have any sort of hook or clasp to attach it to our existing chain, so I had to pry the link open. The problem with prying the link open is the pain flakes off, exposing the metal to the elements and eventually it’ll rust. Not confident this will make it very long, but I like it as opposed to our old one so I’m leaving it for now.
