A cheap alternative to several others I've found on AmazonWanted to use this for audio archival. Though it works, the audio is slow and pitched down. Fortunately, I have audio software that can fix this. What I can't fix is the fact that this is false advertised as having a 3.5 mm headphone jack when it has a 2.5 mm. Adapters exist at least for this, would have been nice to know ahead of time

I am very happy with this purchase. It allowed me to listen to old answering machine microcassettes that I haven't heard in years. One has my father on it and the other my brother. They have both been gone for many years now and it was bittersweet to hear their voices again.

I had one like this for many many years. Since I moved, I have not been able to find it. Thankfully I was able to find one on Amazon and am very thankful!!! Works great!

The microcassette recorder is enabling me to hear voices of people who passed away years ago. I'm enjoying tapes that I thought would be lost forever.

I bought this for replaying old tapes. The first player I bought was a Sony where the seller swore up & down it had been tested but obviously it hadn't; one of the speeds didn't work & audio was slow & wavy. I returned it & purchased this player. It arrived well packaged, everything works & the sound quality is better than expected.

I have ordered 3 different used microcasette recorders off Ebay prior to this purchase that either did not work at all or didn't function properly. I have lectures recorded at two different speeds so it was important that the dual speed function worked. Other devices I had received didn't play at the proper speed on either setting so I was glad to see this one worked perfectly. Another I received the take-up reel didn't even turn. The other didn't allow me to record. They were even advertised as "tested and working". Don't order anything electronic off Ebay because they are defective products. Thank you Charles for delivering a product as advertised on Amazon. Very satisfied customer.
