Does your new hat just not fit right? Do you have hats that have shrunk over time? From New Era to Cowboy hats, this 100% wood, heavy duty hat stretcher will solve of these problems! One size fits all, 6 1/2 - 8 1/2.
Instructions:
Lay the hat stretcher on a flat surface and twist center handle to approximate hat size. Place in hat, labels up, center handle parallel to crease in hat crown. Tighten handle to snug fit - hat is ready for storage. *Always rest hat on its crown, brim up.*
If size INCREASE is desired: Repeat the steps above, but when the stretcher is inserted into the hat, twist to lengthen the stretcher and stretch the hat. If this does not stretch the hat to your liking, use a teapot or pan with the lid slightly ajar, boil clean water, then reduce heat to produce a steady flow of steam. Holding the hat stretcher handle, direct steam evenly to outside of the band area. Twist handle to stretch hat to desired size while applying steam. Allow hat to cool and dry 20-30 minutes before removing the hat stretcher. Repeat if hat shrinks until hat maintains desired size & fit!

Never used a hat jack but heard they worked. I had a beautiful hand made Panama hat I bought almost 25 years ago and recently found in the closet. Needless to say it didn't fit and had shrunk over the years. I tried this hat jack, tightening it a bit every few days fir about 10 days. It worked fantastic and I was able to wear the hat comfortably again. I now keep the jack in the hat to maintain the size. I'm going to get another one for a nice old wool felt hat I have. Definitely a good purchase if you have a hat you love and want to maintain size and shape. Well made and easy to use.

Recently found a vintage hat at a great price but it was a size 7- I could barely get it on my head.Fitted sizes vary and can shrink too, so this is a great tool for the price to have on hand.I followed some recommendations and sprayed the inside sweatband with water, the slowly cranked the tool tight and let it sit for a few hours. It definitely stretched to hat at least one full size, and I could have cranked it more but might have misshapen the hat too much. This was a vintage 100$ wool hat so wool stretches/shrinks more than cotton or poly, but I think stretching one full size is doable for any hat with this tool and a wrench. My 15mm wrench fits the screw and let me put much more force on it than by hand only. This opens up my options for buying used, hard to find, or limited size hats.

I was doubtful when I bought this but it actually works.I have a big noggin so often these snap back hats leave a giant opening because of the setting I have to set it to. I set hat to tightest adjustment, slide this in it and tighten with a 15mm wrench, leave it over night. Next day, good to go at a normal hat adjustment. Great simple product. 👍🏻

This hat stretcher worked wonders for my adjustable hat that did not quite fit.I have a size 7 7/8 head so it can be difficult for me to find hats that fit. My adjustable hat was close but I felt like I needed just a little extra breathing room.I tightened this down and left it overnight, and my hat fits comfortably. I notice it tightens back up a bit, so I recommend leaving this on overnight if you plan on using the hat the next day. Others might have some ideas for how to get it to last longer.That said, don't expect it to work miracles. It will slightly loosen the hat, but don't expect to go up several sizes.

I have a huge head and fall between an L/XL and XL/XXL Flexfit hat. L/XL are normally too tight and take a year to naturally stretch enough to feel comfortable. XL/XXL are just right when I buy them but become too loose over time. So I bought this to stretch out a new L/XL, and it worked perfectly!Rather than boiling water like the instructions suggest, I used a garment steamer that I already owned. I stretched the hat about 1/2" larger than its current size and steamed the band heavily for about 2min. Then let it set for about 30min in the stretcher, then take it out for 30min. Then I'd start over, and stretch it another 1/2" more, repeating the same process. I did this several times until I reached the desired size. Not sure if it was necessary but it didn't feel right stretching it the entire way all at once, so I did it in intervals.Ultimately the hat came out perfectly! I got it exactly where I wanted it, and it feels great. It feels like an L/XL would normally feel after a year or two of natural wear, which is just how I like it. It looks good as well, with no indication it was stretched unnaturally. It's been a few days and so far it's still the same size.Overall this was a great buy. It's such a simple product and I could've probably used homemade items to achieve the same result, but I didn't want to bother when something so convenient exists. Can't wait to buy more hats, especially since L/XL usually has a much wider selection and cheaper price.

If you are like me and have a big head, then you need this. I am not making a joke out of this either. I have a big head and my hats don't always hit correctly. It seems there is are spots on hats that pinch my head and this stretcher fixes that issue. I have boonie hats that will shrink after I've sweated in them. You can put this in the head band and crank it out. It is a great product and would be something you might need if you have a big a$$ head.

I found a really good deal on a Stetson but it wasn't my size. No problem I thought, I'll get a stretcher.When I got this one it's very nicely made, the wood is smooth, the hardware clean, sturdy, functional and refined. My only issue is probably hat specific and that the wood blanks are a little too wide and "circular" for this particular hat.It fits in the hat just fine, I think because mine needs to be stretched honestly more than it should, the wide wooden ends are a little restrictive. But I can't fault the product for that, again I think it's specific to my scenario.But this works great to loosen up the hat and also keep the desired sizing/fit if you're going to store the hat for a while without wearing. I'd still buy this product again if I had to do it over.

It's OK, and it DOES work, however, it's only works up to hat size 7 - 1/2" and that is ALL...the bolts on the device runs out of threads RIGHT AT 7 -1/2 hat size, I know FOR A FACT because that's the size I needed it for. So for me, did it work? Yes, but it was wobbly when stretched out to 7 - 1/2 cause I mentioned it's completely out of threads at that point and can't get it any bigger. If you need a hat any bigger than 7 - 1/2, DO NOT buy this product, it flat out won't work for you. If you own this company and I somehow got a faulty one - let me know and send me a NORMAL one because 100% fact, what I'm saying here is true for the hat stretcher I was sent.

Worked just like they said it would.Required a 14 mil spanner to tighten the stretcher and with the help of a little steam I now have a hat that fits.When I’m not wearing the hat I leave the stretcher in the hat to keep the size right.
