The magnitude of this hat is similar to the big Russian "ushanka" hat. It's really large and puffy, and will provide warmth if you need it. Although it's all synthetic, the coloration is believably true to natural raccoon colors. (I have spent a lot of time up close with raccoons!!) The tail is a little thin but realistic enough.My main issue is with the ears. First of all, they are barely noticeable, from most angles they just blend in with the hat. They are also not at all the shape of raccoon ears. They are maybe shaped like certain bear ears, but raccoon ears are supposed to be more triangular and much less fur on the inside flap, a lot more like cat ears.... I'm rambling... just look up a picture of a raccoon and you'll see what I mean!Up to you if that bothers you or not. Overall I'd still say this hat tows the line between "cute" and "abnormally big" - whether those are a pro or a con, are up to you!

I requested and received “for free” this Winter Thermal Plush Furry Raccoon Hat to test and give my honest opinion. I saw this and thought "HOW GREAT!! LOT'S OF FUN WITH THIS!!" but my wife has been putting a damper on my FUN ORDERING recently so I put it in "save for later" folder and then put in two blouses I saw that I thought she might like (to get on her good side). I then told her to check the "save for later" screen and tell me what she thought. As she knows sometime the items available for VINE Members to order disappear in a matter of SECONDS so when I heard her yell "GET IT, GET IT, HURRY UP AND GET IT" I wasn't certain which blouse she she was going crazy over. I finally realized it was this hat she was yelling about. BANG, ordered and locked in 5 seconds later. Similar thing happened when the hat and four blouses arrived the same day. I brought up the hat and the blouses that she kept asking me "are the blouses here yet" for the past two days. She didn't even look at those packages as soon as she saw the hat had arrived. Bag torn open and hat put on her head in a flash. SHE LOVES IT. We were both surprised how adjustable the size was and that it fit both of our head sizes and was also able to be made small enough for a child's size head. REAL SOFT AND COMFORTABLE TO WEAR. REAL STYLISH, I'm just not sure what style I would call it.... How about PURE FUN STYLE. ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️Ordering as a Vine member does not mean I’m getting "free products".. Between my time for testing the product, doing an honest review and the FEDERAL AND STATE INCOME TAXES I am liable for because I am "receiving items of value in lieu of wages" that are based on the LIST PRICE with no coupons allowed to be used, there is a real cost to these items "paid for" by me. Since most of the items offered to VINE Member are Brand New to the market, never on the market before, MANY TIMES the price drops or coupons become available to every Amazon buyer a week or so after VINE Members orders them at FULL LIST PRICE. This really affects any cost savings VINE Members may end up with... So far I have been having a great time "doing my VINE job", and I hope to continue doing it for quite some time....
