Good quality, heavy hardware. It felt nice and snug when I put it on my dog (120lbs Newfie).

The harness size is great for larger dogs. I have an abnormally tall chested German Shephard. His last harness rubbed his "armpits", but this one allows you to elongate the underside for form-fitting. The durability and make has the feel of an Army plate carrier. Pretty sure this thing would still have plenty of room to adjust if we completely stopped the walks and just fed the dude twinkies.

Honestly, this is the best harness I’ve used! We have a hyper German Shepherd who gets easily distracted by every “squirrel” moment, and this harness has made a huge difference in control and handling. The heavy-duty design is durable yet comfortable, and the no-pull feature helps manage those sudden bursts of energy. The top handle is a great addition for extra control when needed. Highly recommended for large, strong dogs!

When I measured my dog the corresponding size on the chart was a small but that just didn’t seem right to me so I went ahead and ordered a medium. So glad I did it fits perfectly! I think it’s best to use the measurements on the chart to see where it will sit on the pet. The harness works fine and seems sturdy enough to withstand the wear and tear of a husky. It’s also pretty easy to slip onto my pet with the larger straps around his body so even if he has a case of anxious wiggles I can still snap it in place. Although I haven’t purchased any the harness does have Velcro strips for pet badges. I would definitely recommend.

We looked at the size guide and thought we should be ordering a Large for our 55 lb pure muscle Cattle Dog, but when it arrived it was clear that it was WAYYY too big. So we exchanged for a size Medium instead. The medium was still on the large side, but we were able to adjust the straps to fit her.I find that the belly straps seem to loosen on their own. Every 2 or 3 times our dog wore the harness, I would notice that it was getting loose again, so now I adjust the harness when I take it off so it doesn't get too loose. The neck straps seem to stay tight.Like most harnesses, if the dog figures out that they can back up against the leash, they can scoot out of the harness. If it is properly tightened that is not as easy to do, but if the belly straps are at all loose, it's a fairly simple process for a determined dog to slip out. To combat this, we do our best to not let our dog get in a position where she can back up with the leash taut. We keep her ahead of us, and if she starts to back up we give some slack on the leash and then get behind her so she's not backing up against the leash. She figured out pretty quickly that it's not worth the effort, and doesn't really try any more. All that considered, though, the harness is lovely. It is substantial and sturdy. It is fully adjustable. You can dismantle the harness altogether and fasten it onto your dog, or you can leave the neck opening connected and slip it over their neck then fasten the belly section. The fasteners are foolproof - you cannot accidentally fasten a neck fastener to a belly fastener, because they are different size and different material. So it's quick and straightforward to put on, even when your dog is super excited to be going on a walk and their entire body is wagging. The neck fasteners appear to be metal, so they are solid. The belly fasteners are plastic, but they appear quite sturdy. There are metal leash connectors on the belly (great for fastening to a seat belt leash for car rides), and on the back (for regular walks). And there is a fabric handle on the back in case you want to hold your dog in position for a moment on a walk. All these appear sturdy (even after frequent use over a few months). We have not used the Velcro or loops yet, but they appear substantial, and are well positioned for labels (service dog, dog in training, name, etc.) or for backpack-style attachments. Just keep in mind that any pack you add to your harness will add weight to your dog and will affect the balance, so you'll need to give your dog some time to grow accustomed to the new feeling.

Updated 12/29 - had 15’ nylon leash double tent pegged (12” pegs) laying down 6’ from pegs, saw an unleashed dog and took off with 9’ of leash - snapped the top metal loop right out of the stitches. So I was left with a leash hooked to a metal loop with my dog running down an unleashed neighbors dog (any animal running loose without a person seems to be fair game). Thank goodness my dog just wants to play and theirs was submissive as it could have gone all bad. Remi is only 65lbs but huge chest for his size but to rip all the stitches holding that top metal loop with just a 9’ running start seems a bit of an issue to me, but he has yanked it similar (under 4’ running start those times) to this 3 times and it held. Will be looking into another brand and see how that works out.Bought for 5yr old Lab because he has snapped two diff. standard neck collars, he’s a few inches bigger in chest then medium size as listed. Have to tighten all connections to max & chest is still loose but acceptable. Works great when he’s tied up outside, he sees another rabbit & boom he’s off like a shot (how the collars snapped) well this doesn’t snap and doesn’t choke him out 👍🏼 But - when he pulls hard like this or even crazy hard when being walked the nylon straps slip after those instances so have to check daily and retighten to their smallest size, regular walks & regular pulls are fine-no slippage. I believe it’s well made, everything looks sturdy and I think it will last a long time so a nice product for a nice price (slippage 4 ⭐️). However, maybe my expectations were to high & my pup is just built a little different (the part of the vest on his back looks like it fits a much smaller dog as another example vs pics advertised). To afraid to exchange for medium size and find out that it will be to small so will tolerate tightening the straps when needed. He seems comfortable wearing it and brings it to me when he wants it put on to go outside or just for a walk & many times he has laid down and gone to sleep wearing it so if he’s that happy with it I’m good (5 ⭐️). Haven’t had the product long enough to give true durability review so 4 ⭐️ is best I can give at this time but clips are tight and lock/unlock as advertised so will change rating down the road based on future experience.I do wish the company carried accessory products like a pouch to fasten to the vest but will try products from other companies. As other owners have observed him wearing it I have passed on wear they can get this product with the above caveats, so I would & have recommended the product to others.
