Overall, this harness fits and looks great, and appears to be comfortable for our dog. It’s durable and appears to be very good quality. Love the color. As far as pulling goes.. it absolutely doesn’t stop her from pulling. If you hook the leash on the front of the harness it a lows a little more control and does lessen the pulling, but that’s not ideal for us because it tends to yank the harness sideways. That causes matting in her hair when it rubs like that because she’s a poodle. Honestly, it’s not the harness’s fault, it’s on us to continue training her to walk correctly without pulling. We use the harness frequently and she seems to be happy to wear it so overall, it was a great buy.

The dog likes it. He does not shy away like he did with his previous harness. Must be more comfortable. His owner reports that the harness is well made and easy to adjust. Grab handle and reflective stripes are welcome.

Es muy bonito, excelente calidad y acertado el tamaño. Pero aún no veo la comodidad de anti jalones cuando pongo la correa a mi perrita en el gancho de adelante, se hace incómodo porque roza con sus patas. Iré dando observaciones más adelante

It fit my pup nicely after a few adjustments. Super strong material, doesn't feel flimsy at all. The handle is super comfortable and strong. Pup took to the no-pull super quickly. He looks great in it too. I got a Medium for him. He's a Border Collie. All in all, I really like this product so far.

This is a really nice harness and it stops my dog from pulling! During our first walk, she tested it 5-6 times and then she walked beautifully after that! And this is a 60 pound dog that used to try to chase every bird and rabbit, nearly jerking my shoulder out of the socket! I love that it’s a nice friendly way of teaching your dog to behave, as it doesn’t put undue pressure on their neck. Instead, it works by turning their entire body sideways when they run to the end of the leash. This product is built very sturdy as well. It has lots of padding where it counts, the straps are thick and sturdy, the two leash hoops are metal instead of plastic, and the handle is nice and big with lots of padding. I would definitely recommend this product. UPDATE — I reduced my rating from 5-stars to 3-stars because it is no longer effective with my dog. It now just twists sideways when she pulls so she now pulls all the time. Very disappointed. FURTHER UPDATE — I would like to share how fantastic this vendor is to work with. With no solicitation on my part, the vendor reached out to me to tell me that they want me to be happy so they are going to send me an updated product that includes 4 buckles, enabling me to adjust it more accurately for my dog. I was totally surprised and ever-so-grateful for their first-rate customer service! Thank you! FINAL UPDATE — This vendor is amazing to work with. They sent the new harness with 4 buckles and it works beautifully! The additional 2 buckles provided the exact adjustment I needed to ensure that it fits my dog properly. It now stays in place, doesn’t twist, and works exactly as they promised it would — I’m a very happy customer and my dog is walking so much better with this harness. Thank you once again!

This is seriously the BEST harness my dog-loving family has ever used! Bella, our super-energetic, mixed-breed rescue, is only about 45 pounds and slender of build, but she's solid muscle and highly energetic. During walks, she gets so excited she darts forward with tremendous force, and it's all you can do to keep the leash from being snatched out of your hand.Collars aren't good for her, because her neck is long and thin, and her fur is super short and sparse. Thus, collars tend to irritate her skin (not enough fur to protect it) and rub off the hair. What about face collars, such as the Gentle Leader? We knew that wouldn't work for her either, because she is sensitive and high-strung and would simply paw at her face the whole time trying to get it off. And that wouldn't be much fun for anybody. (From what I can see, those face collars work best on highly docile dogs). For a few years, we'd resigned ourselves to just get used to her pulling. And I mean PULLING, to the point where your shoulder socket would be sore after a walk. After a particularly unpleasant walk, in desperation, I went seeking something new, which is when I saw this harness. After reading many reviews, I grew hopeful. The harness seemed to work for "difficult" cases, like our Bella. Without much expectation, I decided to buy it and now...our life has CHANGED.Literally, from the first 10 seconds she had it on, Bella realized the pulling would only result in her being jerked back toward me. From then on, she just STOPPED PULLING. That's the genius of this harness. With the clasp on the FRONT CHEST (rather than on the dog's back), the more energetically the dog tries to run FORWARD, the more forcefully they are pulled BACK! Once that happens, the dog quickly realizes that lunging forward doesn't do any good, and they just stop. All you have to do is hold the leash; the harness does everything else! It basically is using the dog's own "bad" behavior against it. I will never buy any other kind of harness again. What else do I like? Well, the bright yellow looks sharp against Bella's sleek, dark fur. And the reflectivity is quite nice as well! The harness seems well-made and sturdy, and it also adjusts both around the neck and chest to accommodate different sizes. (For instance, Bella has quite a deep chest but a comparatively thin neck. It required a lot of adjusting, but I finally got it where it fits her well in both places.) As far as other features: I like the convenient "handle" on top, for times when you just need to grab your dog. And there's a clasp on top as well, though I can't imagine ever using it given how awesome it is having the clasp on the front. Nowadays, walks are enjoyable for both human and canine. I consider this a "miracle" product, because it has honestly changed our lives for the better. And all because of that placement of where the leash is snapped (see photo). Sometimes, it's the simplest things that make all the difference!

Both our boxers have one now and they are great, especially with the handle at the back.

I have a wonderful, young rescue dog who is 60 pounds of solid muscle. Due to a traumatic incident when she was a pup last year, she has some anxiety and pulls a lot on leash. I’d tried a variety of harnesses and a Martingale collar. At her trainer’s suggestion, I switched to a head collar. It helped somewhat with the pulling, but she hated it. I hated it, too, but was told this was the only safe and sure way to have control and tried to make the best of it. After about three months, her eyes were itching like crazy, and she’d roll her head on the ground at every patch of grass, trying to scratch her eyes and push the collar off her nose. She had bumps/abrasions on her snout. Moleskin didn’t help. Late one night, I took a look at my poor girl’s face and decided I’d had enough. No more head collar—ever! But that meant I needed an alternative. Prong collars are supposed to be inhumane, so I researched different harnesses…again. In the interim, I used two leashes: one attached to the Freedom harness and another attached to the Martingale. It was not ideal. Finally, I decided on this Poypet No Pull harness. The reviews were good, it had both front and back leash attachments, and looked sturdy and well-made. It seemed to be designed so that no straps would dig into her, especially in the armpits. The wide, padded fabric looked like it would not only be comfortable, but might actually made her feel secure and less anxious. It’s only been about a week, but so far, all those things appear true. When the Poypet arrived, I was busy looking for instructions, while my daughter simply went and put it on her. It was a snap. Unlike the head collar and the other harness, this one was no struggle to get on. The dog didn’t resist and she didn’t mind wearing it. That was a pleasant surprise. I didn’t realize I’d bought the harness with only two quick-release clips, and the instructions I found on the Poypet Website were for a harness with three clips. I was confused and emailed Poypet, as well as asking here on Amazon. (Many thanks to those who answered!) I was worried about pulling the harness on and off over her head, but as it turns out, it’s really easy. You have to make sure it fits snugly, per the instructions, and tighten the straps if you see it’s loose or forming big gaps between dog and harness. Snug, not tight. A snug fit makes the whole system work better. With that long leadup, now you’re asking, “Well, does it work like magic?” The answer is that there is NO equipment that will be an instant magic pill if you don’t want to hurt your dog. You have to put the time, effort, love, and know-how into training. But after less than a week using the Poypet, there’s a major improvement and I’m truly delighted with it. When she pulls, the Poypet is sturdy enough that I can stop without getting into a power struggle and without worrying that I might be injuring her by yanking her head. The Poypet spreads the pressure through the front and back, and doesn’t cause her any discomfort. (Other than that she doesn’t get to run over to eat some garbage or deer poop.)Overall, the Poypet has dramatically reduced my stress levels on walks and I think my sweet girl is less anxious and comfortable in these new parameters. BTW, I also went to a shorter leash, from 6-ft to 4-ft, with padded double handles, and that works great with the Poypet. Took her on a 75-minute walk on a levee trail today and found it so much easier. Last note is that the customer service I received from Poypet was outstanding.
