These don't hold up to heavy use very well. Have had to replace these about every 6 months.

Ordered 4 of these for two dock doors at our warehouse. The standard configuration worked just fine - holes lined up great. Did have shipping challenge due to weight of the item - - one did not make it due to shipping box falling apart. Amazon shipped replacement promptly.

Have never hit this with a truck and never plan to. However it takes a hell of a beating with my 20lb sledge hammer. WHAT? You ask, well let me explain. I got this for attaching to top of a round log top and hitting it with a sledge hammer for exercise purposes. I have no intention of using it for its intended design purpose so I can't speak to its use in that regard. I took 4 big lag bolts with washers and screwed it down to the top of a log. Its heavy and even hitting it on the edge or holes with all I have with a 20lb sledge does no noticeable anything, well except the sweat on my brow. If my sledge did hurt it at all I would be suspect of its real use, but after a couple months of repeated beatings ya can't tell I even touched it. Great for what I use it for and would highly recomend for that purpose. I wonderd if it would bounce my sledge back too much but it absorbs the strikes with very little rebound. It appears from the substantail heft of this piece that it would function well for its real purpose as well. Can only give it 4 stars as I don't know how well it would actually do for a loading dock truck bumper application but for my purpose its 5 stars.
