I confirmed with my gauge pin set and got about 0.0005-inch accuracy using decent-quality calibers. Much faster than dragging out my pin set.

Quality not so great. The plastic sleeve (case) was already cracked at hinge. The small gauge is kind of useless. Ok if you only going to use it once every couple of years I would source others should you require daily use.

I didn’t like taking my Starret set into the field. After finding these I decided that the price was right and if the were some what precise I could get buy. I was surprised at how well they worked. I have told my guys about them and they would be happy with using them everyday.

Use to measure hole or bore diameter. And for those who have never used these before you will also need a micrometer or calipers to get the final measurement. The tool is inserted into the bore and the screw adjusted until you just lightly touch the sides of the hole. The tool is then withdrawn from the hole and measured with a micrometer or calipers. And as in all things with practice and feel it is possible to get a highly accurate measurement.

I do not recommend these for professional machinists, as they will require higher-quality brand-name products, but this set is perfectly fine for hobbyists or occasional users. They do what they need to do. Obviously you will need a micrometer or caliper to measure with as these are useless without one of those. Research and know how to use these instruments before deciding whether or not you might need them.
