I got about 7 to 10 pours from this and the eye part broke off during a pour. I was kinda frustrated because I really like this mold as do my friends and customers and came here to complain. Then I saw the price and realized that it hung in there really well for a rookie using an outdoor forge and pouring hot silver for less than TEN BUCKS!!! Most other molds are starting around $45 so I'm actually impressed. Cool mold.

It's smaller than what I expected but cool design and good price. I'll be making a bunch of these.

I see a lot of complaint about them breaking, but I have poured at least 40 skulls out of this one mould and it shows no signs of wear yet. I clean it with a bristle brush and I also preheat the mould first.

Bake your mold at 400f for one hour. This step removes moisture that is in the mold. I dropped this mold before the first cast but after I had baked it. It survived a three foot drop onto concrete. I then used it to make a brass cast.It worked perfectly. I had no breakage in the mold.

Product did exactly what it was designed to do. I would definitely reorder this again. Make sure to preheat item prior to use. let cool naturally to remove all possible moisture. If you skip this step, mold may break upon adding molten metal.

I did 9 or 10 pours of aluminum so far and no issue. Seems quality enough for the price. Be sure to pre heat. I'm guessing the buyers who complained about mold failure and breakage didn't.
