These are machined perfectly. Easy to install and clean threads. Be careful, they are sharp.

First, I made a mistake on my original order and the seller happily took it back. Kudos! I reordered and very quickly received the correct size inserts. They are being used to fasten panels over windows for hurricane protection. These seem to be good quality and I may find out how good they are very soon!

I purchased the 10-24 version. The OD of these things is still very large.They do not want to thread in straight...not sure if they need better lead-in

Quality product, worked perfectly. I used the inserts to attach 3/4 inch red oak slats to an outdoor bench. After some experimenting I used a 7/16 drill bit with my cordless drill. The slightly larger hole size made it much easier to insert straight. With the hard wood, still had plenty of grip.

These work pretty good. I was using them in very hard hickory, picked up a grade 8 bolt and nut to use as an insert tool. Not that hard to get straight using a ratchet.

There are hex-wrench-driven alternatives on Amazon and elsewhere. Buy those instead. The slots on the tops of these inserts require a screwdriver with a really wide flat blade that is also thin enough to fit inside the slot. All my screwdrivers with a wide enough blade are unfortunately too thick to fit inside the slot. Any flat-blade screwdriver I have just mangles the top of the slot. I'd hoped that wouldn't be an issue with stainless steel inserts but their slots also deform when trying to screw them into wood. The alternative insert versions come with their own Allen-Key (hex-wrench) and some even supply the right-sized drill bit too.

Sturdy and seem well made. No problems. I think the vendor could add on the website that these work with fine threaded 8x32 screws.
