Price and weight rating. I am using the jacks to stabilize my trailer while loading my side x side. I have 2 on the front and 2 on the back on the trailer frame. I load the 4 person side x side while it is connected to the stinger on my truck. I was tired of hammering my trailer ball while loading. Another plus is I can totally stabilize my 8 x13 trailer and use it to pitch a tent or as a platform off the wet ground.

These worked great new, but after 2 seasons of limited use, and no abuse one bound up and stripped out the main nut. Reached out to manufacturer, but after initial response asking for more information which I provided, I recieved no more reponses.(See Update)These were used on a small pop-up so weight wasn't an issue. I also stored these in the trailer because the low-profile of the trailer would not allow permanent mounting. So they were kept clean and only used about 6 times over the last 2 camping seasons.UPDATE 5/24/2023: Company sent out a whole new set of jacks at no cost. Just took a bit longer then expected. Although the shipping box was basically torn in half, they could be better packed there was nothing securing them in the box, just little padding on the ends of the jack was all. Both new jacks still function and are working well, hopefully these will last longer then the 1 that failed.

Wish I had installed these when I first bought the trailer. It's nice knowing the trailer won't teeter on me now when it's not hooked to the truck. It has almost like a pinch feature to it in the up position so it won't slowly lower from vibrations. I've had them on for a couple months now and use the trailer for work and had no issues. The only complaint I have is that the crank bar that came with the jacks arrived slightly bent and makes it a little clumsy and wobbly to crank though I have not yet tried top bend it straight.

My star rating is value for the price. I am comparing them to the same weight class jack. I replaced the two front jacks on a Wildwood , 30' ball to rear bumper trailer with a 7500 lb GVWR and a normal weighed travel weight of 6500 lbs. If you have a toy hauler or a heavier GVRW, then order the 7500 lb jacks, not these. These are medium duty jacks. As far as I can tell, the negative reviews were from people not ordering the heavier jacks for the trailer they are pulling. ANY toy hauler will need the heavier jacks. .In short, they were less money than replacements at RV stores, support my trailer in the same manner as the originals. The top mounts are different, but they had enough pre-drilled holes so I could still use the same holes in the frame that the old jacks did. I will update review if I find the jacks are inferior over time, but for now, if you have a trailer similar in weight to mine and need them quickly, I would recommend these. .Note inserted on 07/13/2017: I had an inquiry on what "GVRW" is. If you don't know what that means or what it is for either your trailer or tow vehicle, then you have no business towing until you take a class on RV's from Good Sam or another notable authority, not from your family or neighbor who thinks they know. Trailer towing accidents caused by improperly loading a trailer or tow vehicle, are second only to DWI.

These are not precision jacks, but with some bending and fine tuning I was able to get them functioning properly on my 5th wheel. Do not expect them to be perfect out of the box, nor should you expect to be able to use them to jack up anything but a light utility trailer. They are advertised as stabilizing jacks, and they do that. I was on the edge of sending them back, but I needed something right away. I wish they had been better, but for the price you get made in China 'stuff'. Had the press been set up properly to complete the bend to 90 degrees they would have been much better. I had to put them in a vise and squeeze them to make them work. Not thrilled with them, but they are installed and working for now.
