It weighs a lot for a person who's handicap. If it was light weight it would be perfect for a handicap use.. needs to be built with a handicap person in mind.. but very strong

Just what we needed. Love that it’s height adjustable. It’s the perfect compliment to our retractable stairs on the bus.

Our RV is lifted, we use this step after the last fold out step and it works perfectly! Makes the step in not so big, it is nice and sturdy!

I have been in search of a step stool for my beloved elderly labrador who has arthritis in her hock and struggles with heights. She has a ramp but it's no good for smaller spaces. All the step stools I found didn't provide her with a large enough platform to steady herself before she climbed any further. This product is a gift from the heavens! It has a wonderful generous platform, a rough surface so she can't slip, it is so well made and sturdy that I have no concerns about it staying in place for a very large dog. Honestly, it's so great. I love it so much that I bought a second one so we will always have one handy. One for around home and one in car. Thank you so much to the Manufacturer and to Amazon. You have made life so much easier for my dog and me. It is also a great price. Suggest you market this for humans and dogs as there is nothing like this around under pet products.

Bought this for standing on to be at a better height for our outside kitchen in our 5th wheel. First time unfolding the legs, one entire leg and bracket came off. Looks like the weld didn't take. I had to drill holes and put in bolts with locking nuts to repair. Other than that, works great for the intended use.

It's not super light weight, but really I can't see how they'd make it much lighter. I was super-impressed when this arrived, solid construction, large, the anti-slip top was a bonus I never read in the specs. I bought it as a medical aid for a sick family member getting in and out of an SUV, it's designed as a step for an RV ... but I can see using this for a little boost while painting, reaching high places, etc, or even for a short person aid to get in and out of places. Worth the five stars ... the plastic ones were 70 and 80 bucks, this was only a little bit more, not very often I find things exceed my expectations, definitely recommend this ... oh, and folds flat, a little over an inch, easy to store.

I needed something to help my Mom, who has issues with her legs and uses a walker, step into my SUV. She needed a good, sturdy, LARGE platform to step onto and then turn around to sit on the front passenger seat. Everything I could find designed to help seniors was too small and flimsy -- and then I found this!Okay, even folded up this is large and heavy, but I have room for it behind the seat. It's a little bit of a workout for out-of-shape me to pull it out, unfold, set it down, and then pick up, fold back up, and set back in the car. But every time I do, I am grateful to have a little exercise to help keep me from aging into the same issues my Mom is dealing with. When I'm taking Mom to her doctor appointments, between this and the Auto Cane (check it out, honestly, it's a magical device) we get her in and out of the car with ease, garnering more than a little notice by others who struggle helping their folks climb in and out. The textured surface picks up some debris, but also provides an exceptionally secure surface for Mom. The height is perfect! The only thing that bugs me are the little rubber feet. By the time I realized they slip off a little with every use, I'd already lost one. Hey, vendor, can I get just one little rubber foot?Overall very happy with this purchase.

Very sturdy at a good price. I had to return this product because it was intended for an elderly person and turned out to be to heavy for their capability. The top surface is abrasive and this insurers steady footing but the intended had difficulty sliding her feet on it. Overall a very good product for sturdiness and steadiness.

I purchased this stool for our camp trailer because we always camp in remote, forested places and the steps can get really far off the ground once we level the trailer. Also because, I have 4 grandchildren ages 1 to 7 years old, with little legs and my little Yorkie needs help climbing in. First of all, I love this stool and I'm glad I purchased it. I like the actual platform size the most and it's as sturdy as it gets. I can only see two problems in the craftsmanship. First, the rubber pads on the feet slide off too easily. One review mentioned they purchased different rubber feet from a hardware store, which I will be doing. Secondly, the first time I opened up the legs, I pinched my finger pretty hard, so just be conscientious of that. Overall, I really like the stool and I will be purchasing another one for my son's family, especially since my 6 year old, granddaughter fell off their cheap, plastic stool last weekend. It's worth the investment.

We bought this to mitigate the problem of too high a lower step in our RV, typically occurring when we leveled the RV. This is an excellent product, very sturdy and stable. We don’t find the 14lb weight excessive; anything less would probably result in a flimsy, dangerous step. It is exactly what is claimed to be in height - 3.5” or 7” depending on whether the legs are folded or deployed. It is equally stable in either position. The size of the platform is large enough to be versatile; it can be set outside your RV steps or slid underneath. And the surface is a non-skid material, much like fine sandpaper. For the price, which was 40% less than another brand we were considering, this is beyond compare. Our only recommendation is to get some glue, we used Gorilla Glue, and glue the rubber feet on. We put a small dab of glue on the edge of the foot that contacts the leg when the foot pad is fully inserted so that I could break the glue joint loose if ever needed. We did this because on of the pads fell off during the first use. They have not moved since we glued them over a month ago.
